    A quick little update and walk around my garden! I hated to pull out the nasturtium but it was time. So what do you think? Is that really a butterfly egg I found??? 😇🌸👍🥰❤️Liz

    Good morning panagiotaskoylida I think protecting the egg will be a great idea. I just learned that it is a favorite food to wasps so I think I’m gonna go out there this morning and cover it with a mesh fabric. That was a very good idea thank you for the suggestion! I appreciate you taking the time to visit me this morning. Hope you have a beautiful day, my friend.❤️🥰👍🌸Liz

    Everything is looking beautiful Liz! Looking forward to seeing what hatches out of that egg. Hope it’s a butterfly like you think. I am going to try some veggies in my side yard like you have. I didn’t think a side yard would have enough sun but yours look great. Thanks for sharing 🌺🌼🌸

    Thank you, Ginger. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Luckily the side of my narrow space vegetable garden does get a lot of sun so I was very blessed in that way. I hope yours does well. Still waiting on that little egg to hatch. It will be interesting to see what it ends up being. Thanks again for your comment.👍🥰❤️😀Liz

    Hi there! You grow many of my favorites and I love how colorful your garden is. I'm thinking the tall plant with lavender flowers is called verbena bonariensis. It reseeds and you're right about butterflies loving it.

    Hello Susan, thank you for taking the time to comment. Yes the tall purple plant is definitely called verbena. I always forget that name but you are so right that is exactly what it is. I appreciate your kind words and hope you have a beautiful day and your garden too! 💜💜💜Liz

    Some of my garden mums came back and are blooming already. I discovered a metal garden bed that is three tiered. I wish I had a place for one.

    So crazy about the mums! Do you think it’s because we live in a warmer climate and they get confused? Oh wow, a three tiered metal raised bed. How fun. I wish I had more room in my garden as well. One of these days I hope to buy a house with an acre of land. One can dream right? Hope you are enjoying your day.👍❤️🥰Liz

    @@GardenHappy I tried looking up why our mums are already blooming but I got no specific answer though I did read some could bloom by July. I did read that you can force them to bloom at different times if you do certain things. So I will be just glad they are blooming now. In case you do not already know, sadly the beautiful florist types will not come back. I noticed you got a comment in a foreign language. I have no idea what language that is. How nice.

    That totally makes sense about the weather. However, a couple of my mums I did get from my floral department and they are growing very big. In fact those are the ones that are blooming right now. I wonder why you heard they don’t grow back? That’s an interesting one to look into. Yes my friend too comments from the other country is from Greece. Very sweet lady. it’s amazing how KZread unite so many gardeners together from around the world. 👍🥰❤️Liz

    Good morning well that was a nice coffee break catching up on your garden chores and changes. Your garden looks glamorous all in bloom. I always say trim, manicure, it makes for a bushier plant and always collect seeds It's a money saver. So I'm hoping that the cocoon is a Swallow tail according to garden lore seeing a Swallow tail in the garden is very good luck. Have a blessed day Miss Liz and keep gardening It's a grand teacher.

    Love your garden!! Questions: How big is your garden and where did you start?

  • @GardenHappy

    @GardenHappy

    Hey there good morning and thank you for taking the time to comment. My garden is 27 feet wide and 50 feet long. That measurement is not including the chicken coop, which is probably another 20 feet. I bought my house about seven years ago. It had nothing but an empty lot. Slowly, but surely it developed into my little happy place. I just started with the scalloped brick border edging, then I added the veggie box in the center. And the rest is history. Maybe I will make a video answering this question. It’s a good one. Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you have a beautiful day.👍🥰❤️Liz

    Oh my goodness that is so funny, I’m always raking the soil so maybe that’s why the seeds don’t have a chance to germinate. I think the soil is very compacted too from walking on it so much. Plus, it doesn’t get any water so maybe that is why. Hope you’re having a wonderful day.❤️🥰👍😇
