Although not of the Mormon faith I have been reborn and try hard to live for my Savior Jesus Christ. I have been listening daily to the Mormon Tabernacle music on You Tube and I believe there is not a song that this choir can not sing and make it sound beautiful. Great job!

I hope you will investigate the LDS Church and see if we have something to offer you. It was the real beginning of life for me. It answers "Who am I?" Where did I come from?" and "Why am I here?" . It recognizes that Jesus Christ is the only name under heaven whereby we may be saved. I know it is true. Sincerely, Linda Joyner

The Tabernacle Choir has ever been the benchmark, the gold standard for beautiful music. Bellissimo!

This was a favorite "Negro Spiritual" when I used to go to High School in Jamaica now it is Spiritual and not for any class of people but a universal spiritual experience. Wherever I have heard it, I feel the same spirit flowing through me. As I bask in the feeling of goose bumps, my faith is renewed knowing that quick pleasures are nothing but the pleasures of God are beyond understanding. May we be so blessed to never forget that we are all brothers under the sun. Why then do we not care for our fellowmen. I embrace my Father in Heaven as the Supreme Ruler of all the eternities and one day I will be in his presence. Amen...

Yes, we must take care of those who are homeless or struggling financially. Not everyone is blessed with a great paying job. And things can happen that are out of our control. We need to be compassionate and not judgmental is someone doesn't have any (or much) money.

I love listening to this song in times of hardship. I'm facing a lot of unknowns right now, but I have the peace of God to hold me safe.

My Brother who passed away 14th Sept 2018 wants his ashes to flow peacefully down a river where we were born. I will be playing this song and others by this choir when we do that for him. How peaceful is this.

We have been listening to this choir for almost 60 years. That alone tells all future listeners something amazing is going on with this choir. If you have a bad day...listening to this music, this choir, these words, will turn your day around. Thanks!

This song has always brought so much comfort to me...my heart was nearly broken 3 years ago, at the passing of my Mother, my-son in law, a brother and then a son...all within 6 months time. Music has always calmed my spirit...this song in particular, was a balm of Giliad. THANK YOU~

I first listened to this in 2005 when I was teaching the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in Italy. It calmed my heart then and calms me now. I love the peace, faith, and love that jesus brings.

Every Tabernacle Choir piece I hear, I feel the grace, love and peace with Jesus within my heart telling me it's going to be alright. The Father is also there as well as the Holy Spirit. I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true living church on earth. Christ presides over it. I testify Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God and I testify that President M Nelson is the Prophet today who speaks with God.

These words just stood out to me for the first time ever- the water of a river flows. It goes where it is steered with no resistance. Has anyone ever heard of the water in a river fighting against its natural course, or turning around? No! Yet the water does not know where it is headed yet- it just has to trust that it will all be okay and that someone else is in charge. We can be like that with our faith in God- wherever he steers us, even if it doesn't make sense, we can follow. Without holding back, without wavering, just like the water in a river. And of course, the Tabernacle Choir is amazing. Thank you for the soul-soothing, beautiful music. ❤️❤️

When today's stresses seem to overwhelm me I know that I can be comforted and strengthened when I listen to my favorite choir.

Definitively the best choir of the world EVER

I am grateful for this all volunteer choir and their dedication to bring the world these moving Hymns.

The water in a river changes constantly, ebbing and flowing. It renews always. And so does our peace in God's love.

My God bless every person who made an effort to sing in this beautiful choir.

Remember: if peace is like a river, like the river, it flows and sometimes slows, which is why we have to often begin again and again to find it. Fortunately, like the river, it is always "there" to be rediscovered.

I have been using this song with youth choirs since 1972 and never thought of it as anything but a solid spiritual song; Not racial in any sense. We are all of one race, the human race, anyway. God does not consider divisions of his creation. The Lord and you and I love His creation. Let's quit the division. I am not "Mormon," but love them as I do anyone who names Jesus Christ as Savior. God bless and keep you all in His care.

Just 2 days ago I was working on my family tree in familysearch. I found the person I had been looking for for a long time. Her name is Martha Theresa Maslowski (maiden name)! I was so surprised to see your name. Martha was born in Chicago and died in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin . Do you know if you are related?

We attended the performance of this song live in Salt Lake City on May 5th, 2013. It sent shivers down our spines- and it still does.

Every time I listen to song I always feel the spirit. Hits home to me. Reality that heavenly father really is there!. Can't see but feel and then know deep within ourselves. I'm forever grateful for the knowledge I have to know who I am and where I'm going. I can be with my family forever!. ❤️

This reminds of the great Snake River where I live, in Idaho.

My HS choir teacher that's in the MTC had us sing this piece my Junior year. I fell in love.

Without question, music is the universal language, and for the nearly 175 years since this magnificent choir was founded in August of 1847 it's been wonderfully used to communicate a message of divine love through songs that transcend, the divisions of politics, religion and culture. I haven't heard this song since I had to sing it in high school chorus, more than 30 years ago. I always liked it, but I remember it being more lively.
