Seal was a coach on the voice Australia for the first 2 seasons, and won both. He is a very talented artist. A kiss from a rose is definitely worth a reaction. He won a Grammy for this. 🇦🇺

This song did showcase his voice back when he recorded it. I remember a live performance when the song was new, and one particular extended, breathy, high-pitched “some” (in the “only some want to fly”) lyric blew me away. As singers’ voices age they tend to do more pitch-changing embellishments and audience participation in place of those types of notes, and such is the case here. This is still a very good performance though.

Saw him last summer and his vocals blew me away, for a guy who just turned 60!

Can you believe this guy just turned 60! He could pass for 40 easy! I finally saw him in St Louis this summer, and he still has it! His voice is as good as it was in the 90s, but more mature. His first album, which this song is from, is a masterpiece from beginning to end. You should react to Future Love Paradise, Dont Cry, and Kiss From a Rose, which you've likely heard.

Most of Seal's songs can be found in versions that suddenly makes your gas foot lead heavy if you are out driving in a car. Excellent speakers and a truly good stereo is needed - and if you're lucky you can be accompanied with lights in blue flashing in your rear view mirror. (they don't know how to synchronize those blue lights with the music so no need to stop for them) 😜...

He really is a great guy. His songwriting is truly top notch. A world class artist.

There's some really good videos of Seal watching buskers in the street and him then singing with them. A few of them he invited to sing with him on stage at his concerts at night. You don't see the concert clips. He is by all accounts a really nice guy. But check youtube for those and they are worth reacting to. The clips are a few years old now, but would make good reaction content imo

I remember when this song came out. It was so different than anything else i had been hearing back in the day. It was just so cool. And his look was cool-very British with his mini-dreds. Then he ruined it a few years later with "Kiss From A Rose" But redeemed himself by singing with Jeff Beck doing a cover of Jimi Hendrix' "Manic Depression."

seal definitely has a unique voice. and pick things from the late 80s early 90s of his. this is when R&B and he started to shine imo. goood luck cheers.

Seal performed "Who Wants to Live Forever" at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, so he has a special place in my heart. I also wanted to recommend something completely different that I can't believe you haven't done yet. My Chemical Romance - "Welcome to the Black Parade."

Seal is really good, I feel like he left the public eye a bit after his marriage. Great, unique voice - there were a couple years where he was on FIRE. Seems like a confident man's man. "Kiss from a Rose" will get him in the club - fo sho.

Seal release two CD, Soul and Soul 2. He sings the R&B standards from back in the day like If You Don't Know Me By Now and Let's Stay Together. Definitely PDC material.
