Have you heard of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library? She sends a book every month to children from birth to kindergarten. Over 100 million books sent out already. She has a heart of gold.

Dolly cannot read sheet music and has had no formal musical training, but she's learned to play a number of instruments by ear over the years. Some people are just blessed with musical genius and Dolly is one of those people.

I am 62 years old and I guess I grew up listening to Your Auntie Dolly and have been in love with her ever since, and to think she writes most of her own music, Dolly Parton is a National Treasure. Who else could pull off being a Dallas Cowgirl Cheerleader at the age of 77 and still look that good. Hey, Brit Auntie Dolly is my Auntie too, does that mean you and I are cousins. If so Welcome to the family my friend. Love Bill

You're not nearly old enough to remember the movie _9 to 5,_ which starred Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin, but Jane Fonda was asked what she remembered the most about making that movie and her response really stuck with me.... She told the interviewer that the memory which stuck with her - and continued to do so - was something Dolly Parton said when asked how she dealt with all the fans and their need for her time and attention (because Dolly Parton is well known for spending as much time as she can with her fans). Dolly explained that, as far as she was concerned, her music career, as well as her ability to branch out into film and television, was 100% thanks to those fans. Talent only gets a person so far in life; if you don't have fans, you don't have a career in entertainment. According to Jane Fonda, that message was one which resonated with her. She had been feeling burned out and was questioning her place in entertainment, and this insight from Dolly allowed her to revisit her earlier beliefs and approach her craft (and the resulting celebrity) from a healthier, more positive place.

This is a comment about a video that appears to show Dolly bald. That is fake Dolly has hair that is around shoulder length. Dolly wanted to be blonde - blonde, said her hair would not mind her. She found wearing wigs was easier & she like the way she looks. Dolly is not going to let someone trouble her! I ❤️ Dolly & you Britt, Timothy 😎🌴

If it crosses Dolly Parton's mind, she ain't afraid to sing about it. That's what happens when the whole world loves you. Pretty sure she borrowed the melody for this one from Heartbreak Hotel -- and I don't think Elvis would mind at all.
