    Hi. This is getting paid to the IRS once a year using the form 940 to report the data. The journal entry is the same as the others. Debit the FUTA Payable and Credit the Cash once it is paid. I hope this helped 🙂

    mam, I have a question like this : narayan is getting so busy that he decides to hire an employee for 5000 a month .Narayan makes his first payroll payment.- journalize in the books of Narayan so journal of this question should like this salaries expense a/c dr. 5000 to cash a/c 5000 am I right or wrong? plz answer me ...

    You forget the taxes. The employee doesn't get the full $5,000.

    Does not make sense, you have credited the tax account two times and only debited it once????

    Hi. She debited it twice but with different accounts names. Remember the employer pays everything but they have to differentiate the EE expenses and the ER expenses. In the EE expenses she included everything ( Wages, EE taxes and other deductions ), which is correct, and for the ER expenses she also included the taxes, but this time the ones the ER will pay including FUTA and SUTA. I really hope this helps 🙂
