It was a very tense moment, glad you liked it! :D I personally was convinced we had it, but then the escape disappeared right before the bag was secured :( At the time, I didn't know whether to be sad or happy, because it was a bit sad, but at the same time I was happy to find out this was a worthy challenge :D Better patterns will indeed make it more doable, although the full Hacker team (or hybrid 3 Yakuza/1 Hacker) is definitely the way to go, I would say!

From how intense that first half was, you can make your own diamonds instead stealing them.

Haha for sure! I always enjoy ECM rush situations that are intense like that. Escaping with less than a second left feels so good! Although sometimes, you get there just a tiny bit too late (as it happened here) and you lose :( Still fun though! :D

That initial run was so close. Even if it was possible it'd be so close that it wouldn't be worth running but it's insane how fast these heists can be completed. Nice vid man

Thank you very much, GVZ! For me as a player, it was also the most enjoyable part: the looting & rushing was nice, but there was not much to coordinate during those parts. The puzzle, on the other hand, requires good execution from both players, and good communication (plus coordination from Syrio outside, to boost me with Second Wind starting at the proper time). Best parts of the video, IMO! :D

I've been on this Payday stint lately, I always had fun playing in the past but I never really stealthed missions. Stealthing is all I've been doing which has made it much more fun for me. You're videos are very helpful!

Great video! This is a fun heist, even going solo, but that last room with the trap floor can be tricky knowing there’s no one to tell you where to go and with only 30 seconds to pass through on Death Sentence difficulty.

Hey there Core Bore! This one is _absolutely_ one of my favorite heists. The puzzle part (tiles) is so entertaining when you're playing solo! This one used to be my most played map (back in the Death Wish days), and I still really enjoy the puzzle every single time :D

And thanks for joining us for the premiere, it was really fun :D It does need quite a bit of coordination, although as you saw from the video, the full Hacker approach is definitely much easier than the other combinations. Only a "small" amount of coordination required for that one! PS. Firestarter in the future for sure, although I'm not sure when! There are _so many_ video ideas I want to make!

Oh boy its fun watching your ecm guides even tho im not even gonna use any ecms or go stealth again i sometimes get strategies for my loud runs for the pre-stealth part of the loud i dont want to call the national guard before i do that objective with no cover

@@Marcmb you can stealth goat sim to an extent alarm goes off after 2-3 minutes its like firestarter but a kill means alarm not something you are probably gonna do but hey more info i guess

@@avidwashingtondccivilian7248 Very interesting! I tried ECM rushing it a few months ago, but even if I placed ECMs as soon as the heist started, the alarm was triggered shortly after. What do you do about the cops and gangsters who are killing each other? That might be what triggered the alarm for me...

Wow...I didn't think this one was possible under any circumstances..and I was wrong. Morei mportnatly to me..watching how fast you run back from the diamond grab is making me miss heart beats. Man you move quick on that floor trap. I could never ECM rush this because i'd be too busy going *1...up... 2...left...3...up" and like..sweating the whole time. Hell, I cut it so close I often jump teh last few tiles for saftey :P

Hey there Nosgard! Haha, glad you liked that part in particular :) The puzzle was the part we tried to optimize the most, because depending on the random path, you might spend a lot of time there. We decided to activate Second Wind as soon as I reached The Diamond, and then rush back as fast as possible! It was really fun to play :D

Ahh, The Diamond heist, one of my more liked maps amongst the barrel Felt a little lackluster in some areas when it came to gathering spare loot, but it definitely stood out to me (though it does annoy me with the name being the exact same as a different heist from PD:TH) Can't wait to see this in action as an ECM heist, I'll edit this comment later (Which if you do edit a comment with a heart on it, it removes it for some reason, so you might want to readd it if it does disappear)

Hey there WizardCraft! This one was my favorite back in the Death Wish days. It was a nice solo heist, and I particularly enjoyed soloing the puzzle. It's very confusing that so many heists share the "Diamond" name... usually I call this one "THE Diamond" just to avoid confusion. Video will go live in about 110 minutes, hopefully it will be entertaining to watch! :D Oh and regarding the heart thing, that's true yup! Any edits will remove hearts and pins, because otherwise commenters would be able to make it seem like you're hearting "questionable comments". If you want, feel free to post a new comment rather than editing! Nothing wrong with posting a pre-video and post-video comment, since we don't have premieres often here :p

@@WizardCraft-ox4pe Yeah it's definitely more organized if there's just one comment per user. However, since this one is exceptionally a premiere, it would make sense to have double comments. Whatever is more convenient for you! :) Alesso would be very interesting to rush. The very first objective (opening the green doors to find the C4) can't be ECM rushed because the doors are locked by the ECM effect, but you could easily mask up next to the doors, kill the guards in the kitchen areas if needed, then start the rush. It's a very long heist, so it would be interesting to rush, for sure! :D

Hey there CommanderCH, glad you enjoyed it! It was really, really fun to attempt and optimize! Especially thinking about all the possible sections where Second Wind could speed us up, to try to fit everything within 4 minutes. Sadly it couldn't be reliably completed with just 8 ECMs, but the pocket ECMs change it completely :D

@@Marcmb Well I haven't played the game for a long, long time so all these speed boosts weren't really a thing back then (or I just never thought of the possibillity). And just recently (well, already weeks ago) I grinded a few Infamies. While we were rushing through most of the heists in stealth with ECMs, we couldn't really coordinate it that well since usually there was one on low levels, not having the respectively required skills hence mixing up the order of the ECMs to be deployed. Besides, I'm not using any mods which certainly doesn't help either lol. Eitherways, was interesting to watch. :)

@@CommanderCH I see! Well, to be fair, you were one of the old veterans years ago, so it's understandable if you don't play much nowadays! Thank you for dropping by, and glad you enjoyed watching it! :) I'm personally enjoying the Infamy farm a lot, but it does become a bit tricky when the order keeps changing every time someone resets back to level 0. Having a full team of coordinated heisters really helps a lot to avoid the potential mess! :p

Nice! Didn't know it would be possible for a proper ECM-Rush. Just did this mission recently for the first time, loud on OVK, to test it out. But will try the stealth option soon. Can't really say it will be an ECM rush like here lol

Hey there kotzpenner! We weren't sure about the "regular ECMs only" challenge either, and in the end we were short by just one second :p Using pocket ECMs, it was definitely gonna be possible, so this is one more heist to add to the fun ECM rushes! It's definitely better to complete your first run by doing regular, slow stealth though, so don't worry about it too much! :D

@@Marcmb So, we finally just did the Diamond mission on DSOD in stealth, around lvl 50 or so, so ok since all relevant skills are already acquired. Funniest thing ever! Had several tries, I think 5 or 6 because the most stupid situations happen. So, we finally got the Diamond, friend had to guide me back because we were too slow for the way back. So far so good, then we bumped into a guard in the room inbetween the main area and Diamond, ok ECM time, unfortunately a pager already started. Run back to the helicopter spawn, spawn the heli, wait 2 minutes, ok if we do it we do it, if not restart again. We were camping in a room 10 meters from the helicopter and wait, while our bots protected us. Finally helicopter arrives, drop an ECM for feedback and run! I die immediately, get helped by a bot, run to the heli, just before the finish line I die again, go to jail. Friend also dies immediately and gets helped, runs to the heli, I saw leave me and finish the mission! He gets into the end zone square and immediately dies and goes to custody! BUUUT it still counted and we had the mission done, we were laughing sooo hard lmao. Will do a proper stealth some time later anyway but this was just too good, too bad we didn't record it lmao.

@@kotzpenner Haha amazing timing! I've had that sometimes too: on most heists, the heist is confirmed successful two seconds before the XP screen shows up, so even if you go into custody during that time, you're still taken to the success screen :) In this way, it's possible to finish a heist while everyone is in custody! It's impressive that you managed to communicate the path backwards for you to make it back (many duos struggle to coordinate that type of thing), but it would be cool to go back to it sometime, and finish it full stealth as you say! :p

@@Marcmb afaik the long guide says as long as all available human players get into the the finish zone (even for a millisecond) it starts a 2 second timer and always finishes. I think it's a programming quirk and also triggers the voice line.

The first run that worked out was decent then you beat your personal best by 3 seconds, Now all I need is a 3 person crew to do the same thing. Though have done the hardest difficulty for this heist, though not as fast. 👍

Regular heists, and casual gameplays, are fun too, but there's something about fully optimized runs that makes them really fun to execute. Hey there Alex! It definitely has been a while since my last upload! I've been very busy lately, so I missed a lot of my weekly uploads :( Doing the puzzle with a second player is definitely really fun! Very safe, and also very fast. That close ending was sad, but at the same time I was happy, because it confirmed to me that this was a worthy challenge :D If you manage to secure The Diamond, you still need to escape before teh alarm, or the escape will switch to helicopter. The alarm is disabled automatically after you rewire the 4th circuit box (at the same time that the lasers turn off). Even though guards don't notice the broken glass, they do hear the glass breaking (if they are within 12m), so the Glass cutter is still recommended if you're not rushing! Poor guards are doomed in this rush, indeed :( We have to kill them all to get an extra +12s. It would be cool to be able to play one of these rushes as a guard, staying hidden from the heisters so that you can sound the alarm if they don't manage to find you :D

choosing the bagman that they did is smarter as it allowed for players to earlier secure the diamond which slows them down some from what i remember meaning quicker exit time.

Thanks theodomidable! Overall I feel like both loot drop-offs would've resulted in almost the same time, but using the inner one felt more smooth because there's not much to do while waiting for the 1st timelock, and it makes it much faster to secure everything that's in the final room. Glad you liked the rush! :D

@@Marcmb yeah it was cool watching it though the ending gave me flashbacks to when i lost a dsod run to ecm running out like that. i made it to the van and just as it wouldve ended alarm.

I find it funny that in the first attempt the driver kicks them out of the van and leaves because one person was a few seconds too slow getting in.

I have seen something similar on Cook off. I was once too slow throwing a bag into the van as it was wanting to leave. The drop-off zone disappeared, the doors closed, and the van drove off with the loot bag outline visible inside and not counting as secured. Within a few seconds the bag dropped to the pavement, fortunately still in-bounds.

[TL;DR] : The video is excellent, nothing to say except a little detail : with a perfect looping and thanks to pocket ECMs, you can have 8 minutes of rush instead of 6 minutes contrary to what it's written at 5:55 in the video if my calculations are correct (spoiler alert : they are incorrect lol). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have the past few weeks restarted to play Payday 2 after several years of absence (I have stop playing the game in 2016 lol), and I just randomly discover this channel and I have to say, the video is excellent : it's well explained, the video editing makes all the explanations very clear, the efforts made in this video are undeniable, and on top of that, it's one of my favorite mission ! Splendid work. I have in particular discover the existence of the pockets ECMs thanks to this video, and it blew my mind how powerful this new feature is ! I have to investigate by myself. At 5:55 , it's written that the rush is extended from 4 minutes to 6 minutes, so a gain of 2 minutes thanks to the pockets ECMs. However, since I have much time to spare to do some calculations, according to these calculations, *the rush can last theoretically 8 minutes* and not 6 minutes ! OWOW ! *_Explanation_* : The pocket ECMs are the first ECMs to begin with, because they have a cooldown and are just limited by the time, so you start by them. Each player has 2 of them, and a pocket ECM lasts 6 seconds, so if the 4 players theoretically put their ECMs at the perfect timing, it lasts : 6 seconds x 2 of them x 4 players = *48 seconds* ! The cooldown of a pocket ECM is 100 seconds, and it begins to count after the effect duration of 6 seconds. So, after these 48 seconds of only pocket ECMs, the first pocket ECM which have been used has already done 48-6 = 42 seconds of its 100 seconds cooldown, so 58 seconds to go and it can be reused ! 58 seconds ? Perfect ! Do 2 ECMs Jammer ! 1 ECM Jammer = 30 seconds so , 2 ECMs Jammer = *60 seconds* ! So, after all this, we have already covered : 48 + 60 = *108 seconds* ! 108 seconds with just this loop of pocket ECMs + 2 ECM Jammer. And now we can restart all again : the 1st ECM can be reused, and when it will finish, the 2nd can be reused, then the 3rd, etc ... Therefore, the order of looping pocket ECM + ECM jammer which give us these 108 seconds can be done again, and how many times can we do this ? 4 times my captain, because we have 8 ECM Jammers ( 8/2 = 4, quick maffs). Soooooo, it gives us : 108 x 4 = *432 seconds* ! BUT ( _I swear it's the end_ ) After the lasts ECM Jammer (so the 7th and the 8th) are done, we can once again do our loop of our 8 pocket ECMs which gives us 48 seconds. So finally : 432 + 48 = 480 seconds = *8 minutes* ! Tell me if you spot an error in my calculations, but I think it's correct. I hope my explanations are as clear as the ones in this video. Once again, very great video ! Have a good day !

Many things have changed since 2016, so I'm glad I could introduce you to the Hacker perk deck: it's the new best perk deck for stealth, although not everyone knows about it yet. There are a couple of errors in your calculations that lead to the 8 minutes instead of 6, so I will explain: 1) The 100s cooldown starts the moment the pECM is used, not 6s after. 2) After the 100s cooldown, only one charge of the pECMs is recharged, not both. Thus, this means that every time the pECMs recharge, you have counted an extra pocket cycle (which does not exist). Since there are 5 recharges (and each cycle is 24s) you counted an additional 5*24=120s, thus leading to the incorrect extra 2 minutes :)

I mean, I was pretty sure I was incorrect somehow because I can't see an universe where you wouldn't have already detect this error before me lol, but I couldn't see my error in my calculations. I thought the cooldown of each pECMs were done separately, but the cooldowns are done successively. So if 1st pECM is done at 0:00 and 2nd at 0:06, the 1st charge can be reused at 1:40 ( = 100 seconds) but the 2nd can be only be reused at 3:20 ( = 200 seconds) and not at 1:46 (= 100+6 seconds ) like I said before ! Gotcha, once again, thanks for the explanation. On a side note, I keep browsing the channel and I have watch other videos of you, all also very great (Aleisso heist leaves me in awe), you win a subscriber ! It's so good to go back in Payday 2 universe after all this time, after spending 400h on 2014-2016, it feels great to come back (already 100h + in 2 weeks, help, I'm already addict again lol). Ever since we started doing Pocket ECM rushes we fully looked at the cooldowns in detail, and made sure we were using the best possible option, so 6 minutes is definitely the hard limit! :) Glad I could clear that up, and happy to hear you're enjoying the content! It's good to take breaks every now and then, but whenever you come back, the Steam playtime goes through the roof!

When doing it with no Pocket ECMs,you could have used fast motor on the saw so it could save 1-2 secs which would let you complete the heist.

Hey Asmin! First of all, thank you for joining us very early for the preview! Hope you enjoyed your stay :D As for your comment, that could be a very interesting observation. I wish something like that could have given us the tiny amount of time we needed to complete it!! Unfortunately, we checked all the saw breakpoints, and considering our low health (molotov at the start), we had the best possible breakpoint for the saw in this situation (requiring 2 hits to open the door), and additional damage mods didn't affect the breakpoint :(

@@asminaknc756 That's also a very interesting topic to discuss! Syrio knows _a lot_ about boosting with Second Wind, even more than myself because I often bring a saw + a shotgun to kill if needed, so I never have an opportunity to bring a HE shotgun. Keeping this in mind, if you want it once again, as soon as I place the first ECM, he already triggers Second Wind instantly, so that we can reach the first keycard ASAP. Then, while waiting for the timelock, we can't really progress with the main objective, so he stops boosting. As soon as the timelock gate opens, he reapplies the boost again (for both timelock gates). While walking forward on the tiles, speed doesn't really help, since I'm just waiting for instructions, but as soon as I grab The Diamond, he applies the boost again, until the end of the heist. There aren't any other moments where he could have added boosts to speed up the completion of the main objectives! :D

@@asminaknc756 You need to deplete your armor every single time that you want to trigger Second Wind for 5s (more often if you want to reapply it before it runs out), so the most convenient way to do that is with a HE shotgun! More ammo, good enough damage, etc.!

Watching this makes me want to play payday again but all my friends stopped playing it because of the lack of content on concole :'(

Hey there Mauer! That aiming guide keeps making small appearances in some of my videos, indeed :p Eventually I'll be able to make the whole guide, just taking clips from my different videos. I wanted to add a text note to that missed shot, but I ended up deleting it because the video was quite full. Basically, I was moving so fast (because of the speed boosts) that I missed even though I knew the guard was right there haha :D PS. I very rarely do premieres, so today was mostly an exception because I had missed the previous 2 weekly uploads!! It's not gonna happen often, so expect the usual "scheduled uploads" for the upcoming weeks :D

When it happened while recording, I was sad and happy at the same time -- sad, because we failed by such a small margin, but also happy, because it confirmed to me that this was certainly a worthy challenge :D

Man, I bought the game for sale for 99 cents in january this year, and i’ve bought the ultimate collection/edition a couple days ago I think. And I just realize i still have so much stuff to try. I haven’t even done this heist yet. And I don’t think i’ve tried most of the weapons yet, it’s crazy how much content there is in the ultimate edition/collection. I’ve been trying to do stealth and it’s been fun, i tried the golden grin casino stealth by myself, and the closest i’ve been was finding the room and using the sleeping gas, There was a guard upstairs and I only had 1 pager left. And he caught me so I had to waste my last pagers, and a 5th guard walked in the back and saw the bodies i left. Since I had no body bags I couldn’t do anything except restart, safe to say that made me quite disappointed. Well, that’s all I wanted to say, hope to see some more content from you, see ya. edit: this isn’t related to my comment, but, I just solo stealthed diamond heist on ds:od. it was definitely nerve wracking.

Hey m_e! Getting the game on sale for 99 cents is easily the best purchase you can make on Steam. If you get the Ultimate Edition on top of that too, there's A LOT of content, as you say. You can start by regularly stealthing all the heist, then increasing the difficulty, and finally attempting a very fast ECM rush, which requires previous knowledge of all the objectives. There's so much stuff to do! You're progressing really well with your Golden Grin attempts. If you ever need a bit of help, I have stealth guides for some of the stealth heists, explaining less-known tips, and spawns for most objectives. As for your edit, congrats on completing the Diamond Heist! That one is quite tricky for some players, well done :)

Yup the stealth bonus is very nice! If it weren't for the fact that the amount of loot (and thus XP reward) is quite random between runs, this would be a very good heist for XP farming! Right now it's above average, but noticeably slower than the top heists!

What mods do you use? And would you consider doing a video going through some you like? Great vid by the way :)

I'm glad it looks easy while I'm doing it :) I always say that team ECM rushing is, unexpectedly, a matter of individual skill -- because if everyone in the crew knows how to ECM rush properly, then coordinating a full crew is very easy. Hopefully when I'm done showcasing all the ECM rushes, this kind of thing will become more common in random public lobbies! :D

Hey there FaDon! That is indeed a possibility, although sadly the rewards are lower than DSOD rushing. However, I really like ECM rushing Crime Spree because of how unforgiving it is, plus it's also amazing that you get 3 ECMs each AND 3 pECMs each. So much ECM time!!!

4:21 I have a question can you pay in pre-planning someone to delay time lock ? Cloud be interesting if in payday 3 if this look exists you have a item like pocket ecm to reduce the time needed or put a second mode to make open the door for 10 sec but you get close inside until timer end if you don't have your pocket ecm reload

Hey Saibot! That's a very interesting and unique suggestion. It would be cool if the devs added a preplanning option to lower the timelock time, similar to Big Bank. Unfortunately, the heist currently doesn't have such preplanning options :( PAYDAY3 can definitely expand on this a lot! Adding new utilities to the throwables, such as this option to lower timelock timers, would be amazing and very engaging!

I spent an hour in one of my first tries at The Diamond long time ago to get a path my small brain could remember.

Haha! That's definitely a common approach whenever you get to the final room for the first time. Nothing to be ashamed of! :D Personally, I really enjoy the memorization aspect, so I always go for whichever path I get first! :)

Haha, that's absolutely true, Dani! When I placed the first pECM, I didn't expect it to be that close! That's the reason why, whenever I ECM rush long heists (Big Bank, The Diamond...), I often delay the first ECM as long as possible, until a camera starts beeping. However, since we were looking for a reliable method to rush this heist, it would've been very "cheaty" to showcase one attempt where we were able to progress so much without using a single ECM (at that point, it's not really a full ECM rush) and thus I decided to start early :D

5 months late but imagine what an ECM rush in real life would be like. Some guys with clown masks come in and shoot up the place, you try to call the police but you can’t make the call for some reason. What’re you even supposed to do in that situation?

Imagine playing these heists from the guard perspective, it would be kinda cool... almost like a survival horror, having to hide from the crazy clowns for 6 minutes, so that you can finally sound the alarm...!

Hey Dan! More cable ties would indeed be amazing. Most control heists can be controlled regardless of the number of zip ties (you just end up killing more civs), so the limitation is a bit meaningless. Especially when playing solo, the game should give you more zip ties, like an AI Boost similar to "Quick", but for more zip ties.

That's a shame, Microlel, but it's understandable! I also appreciate that you continue watching, even though you don't play anymore. As long as you can enjoy the content! :D Very often, PAYDAY2 is a game that is best played every now and then, with breaks inbetween. It's good to take a break for a while, and come back in the future if you wanna play for a bit, or check out the new content! :)
