The second chord of the intro is actually a D6 chord, which is much easier to play. You just flatten out your finger on the 7th fret.

Sounds like some key (meaning important) chords are missing. The line takin' my time but I don't kow when' has a B7 before E and 'me and Julio down by the schoolyard' has a G in it before D to E back to A

Good but second chord in intro is on 777 frets of first three strings if want to sound like record. (use third finger ... so easy! keep first two fingers in place) Also missing the B7 and G chords! They are in there! otherwise pretty good. A G D E A (see you me and julio down by the school yard) for that one part. And there's the one part with the A B7 and E quickly (taking my time but I dont know ...). Try this and you'll be playing as Paul does it. the rest is totally right.

A little while ago (last week), music chords started to make sense, so I decided to pick up the guitar (I knew how to play individual notes, not chords) and learn a song with chords. I can finger the chords, but it takes a little time and when I try to switch to another chord, I lose the rhythm. Any advice?

By the look of it when you are playing the second chord you are taking your middle finger off the string and yet in the beginning you say to keep your fingers on . ? Or am I wrong ?

Trevor Wallace also that quick fill is A B E not A D E, although it doesn’t sound bad and may be easier for beginners to play it this way

Not sure what he's playing but there are lots of great sounding guitars out there for relatively little money. Check out Yamaha. They sound great for the money.

This is a great tutorial, but the first minute is very confusing. I don't know what those chords are and I can't see what you're doing. The rest of it makes sense, though.

You say to watch closely on the dampening portion of the down strokes but I can't tell how you are dampening and I can't watch any closer! Are you just pumping your fingers on the strings slightly? I'm used to dampening with my right hand. Otherwise, really great vid. Where's your face btw?

***** Yes, I am pumping them to make them sound. I guess it's more of a "pump" than a "dampen", the biggest thing to remember is when you hear tone my fingers are making contact with strings and the fretboard, when you head a dampened strum, my fingers are making contact with only the strings. Make sense? Why no head? Bad hair day brah...

None of your lessons are 'easy', although a subjective term. You do however have an infectious attitude towards ur teaching. If u could direct more focus on actually making ur lessons 'easy' as u so title urself, IMO u would be one of the standout guitar lesson youtubers.

It's sad how many likes this video got. All these poor people are embarrassing themselves by playing this song WRONG. As others have pointed out the intro is wrong. Theres a G in the chorus and theres a B7 in the pre chorus

This video is incorrect. If you learn this song from this video you will be learning a bad version. He’s leaving out 2 chords completely, some fills, and worst off his intro is totally wrong. The intro is super important as it’s a signature riff. Nice guy, bad player.
