Paul Simon has an economic guitar style that perfectly suits his songwriting, I wouldn't mind seeing/hearing a few more lessons from his extensive catalog. Great lesson, Marty! 👍🏼

If you are watching this and struggling with playing along with the song it is good to know that there are several measures in the song that switch to 2/4. So for example sometimes you'll hold the D for 6 beats instead of 4 or 8, just something to listen for why you are tapping your foot. Thanks for another great tutorial Marty man, look for mine on Ukulele for this song tomorrow!

Thank you Marty. Used to play a lot and was deep into making music and playing guitar back in the 90s, but had some trauma and depression about 20 years ago that resulted in me abandoning music and selling all my studio gear, A friend lent me a guitar a while back and I didn't touch it for a long time.... but just today I felt a new spark of inspiration and picked this song very deliberately to get me back into it.... because it's naturally how I always used to play and the vocals are right in the middle of my range (and it's just a damn good fun composition). And there are several teaching videos for this song in particular but yours matches my brain the best and I'm really loving this as a portal back into mucianship. Thank you so much,

(I’m not going to say you’re the wind beneath my wings or anything….but you ARE my hero and everything I wish I could be!) (that’s a joke, not a Bet M. Lesson request) Cheers man.

Thanks Marty! Always a pleasure watching a new Marty Music lesson. I look forward to them. Hey BTW, I just played the "Little Wing" intro, then played the main chords into my looper and soloed over it using your LW solo tricks. All seamlessly without stopping. It sounded pretty cool and keeps getting better! I can't stop playing it!! : )

Thanks for the breakdown. I've played this song for years and years and never knew to tie the triads in with the intro. After watching this video it's sounding like it's supposed to. I watch your lessons everytime I write down a new song in my big (and by big I mean massive) spiral songbook, filled with handwritten chords lyrics tabs strums and more. 80% of the penciled in notes on all my songs come via your lessons so I just wanted to say thank you so much for your knowledge and accessibility. It is oh so much appreciated.
