English Lyrics
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies, my love
To the dark and the endless skies
And the first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hands
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command, my love
That was there at my command, my love
And the first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the earth
And last till the end of time, my love
And it will last till the end of time, my love
The first time ever I saw your face, your face
Your face, your face

I'm a 61 year old ex-roadie biker and I just sobbed my heart out listening to your sublime singing of La Prima Volta. I was feeling a bit low and sorry for myself this morning, I am severely disabled housebound blah blah blah, I open my tablet and you pop into my feed. I knew I had to watch, especially at this time, as it was recorded at Kiev Opera House. Thank you so much Paul for helping me to feel like life may get us down but it's a heck of a lot better than the alternative lol Oh and hello from London to all in the Ukraine, my love and prayers go out to you 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🇺🇦

87 people don't like this. Hmmm, here is a man who took courage, his heart, and passion in both hands tossed them into the air with no way of knowing the outcome and followed his dream. Who cares about his technique, interpretation, or if he's breathing "correctly." Not many of us have the courage to pursue and realize our dreams and live our passions. Bravo, Mr. Potts! Bravo!

I've heard certain music critics say that Paul Potts is not a true opera-singer. Well, as far as I am concerned they can keep their opinions to themselves because Mr. Paul Potts is an "Opera-singer". Just because he never had the opportunity to train under an established opera coach does not take away from his given talent. His passion and willingness to give his craft his very best efforts shows in his performances. Bravo - Mr. Potts, keep up your good work!

I was just watching random videos on youtube of the talent shows when I happened across Paul's audition for Britain's got talent! I am not an avid opera fan, but do appreciate a beautiful voice! Maybe it started when I was young and I heard my mother (a country fan) play Pavarotti a few times on the record player! I watched as Paul was very nervous and lacked self confidence, as many of us do in life, and I was pulling for him hoping he would amaze!. But as soon as he began to sing, I was HOOKED, and I have been trying to watch as many videos of his I could! A true talent! A true success story! A humble man that I am so glad to see has a wonderful life ahead of him, for himself as well as the happiness he brings into other people's lives with his talent! And you now add another life long fan! BRAVO MR POTTS!
