Also, it’s not that someone spiked him with drugs, is it? 4 years in professional sports is mental, but on the other hand they wouldn’t have given him such punishment without proper evidence. Facts? A hair strand test cannot go back 12 months so I'm not sure about that being factual. If you already have 12 months previous growth then that can be tested. New hair growth will only show what substances you may or may not have taken from that point onwards.

Kinda confused though, he said he forgot about the test and he got a call when he was with his friend after leaving training, but back in those days he said he had to hurry back because he was moving house, he knew what he was doing.

Having an average Joe fan alongside the famous superstar Rio and Rio's mate who is an Arsenal fan makes it a cracking trio to listen to, or VIBE with. I always thoroughly enjoy watching the podcast, because these 3 guys are so different from one and other, but fit together great. either way, I am supporting him. Doping allegation did not surprise me as it just showed how badly he wanted to play being injured for almost two years. However he was tested after a game where he started on the substitute bench coming back from injury..I have always found that scenario a bit strange.

Not an excuse, but high-level football required too many skills to be good at. So even if somebody took ped, they can only add an advantage into stamina. They are not going to turn into Thiery Henry simply by running better than him. Scholes had asthmas, terrible athleticism and still able to play almost to his 40s. There are plenty of legal way to remain competitive. Also, football governing official are not known for proactive anti-doping efforts.

But in terms of endurance and cardio they make a huge difference, especially in the modern game. In the 90’s Many Italian teams were using the same doctors involved with cycling teams, a sport which was rife with doping cheats and many believe still is. I just don’t believe football is as squeaky clean as they say it is.

@@r4mediaentertainment813 I'm not saying that it is squeaky clean. The testing procedures had to be updated and the organizations seem to be very unwilling. It made less difference in the very elites of the sport but it certainly gave a boost if you are in the lower tier trying to climb up. Since most of focus nowadays is watching elite football, ped alone would not cut it, that's why it is not often heard of. Pogba, if intentionally cheat, might be desparate in his age. The situation with his brother, the death of his agent, and his constant injuries and online criticisms might get to him. He did not seem to use it before, otherwise his consistency would not be criticized as much.

They dont even put this energy on banning racist players but ay soon as its drugs that could potentially not be the player's fault as most especially at Paul Pogba level as a nutritionist and if they are recovering from an injury the drugs they may take may have a banned substance that they may not even be aware of. But you cant take drugs to recover from injury. Unless its like a leg break than there are some thing that can be allowed. I dont know what you are complaining. Cheating is much worse, and its going to get even harder to detect cheaters as there are ways to bypass the testing and they are many different performance enhancing drugs that could be taken and not detected. Its easy to detect a racist players, its not easy to detect a drug cheat , they need to put a statement and anyone thinking of doing a scheme to bypass the testing needs to think twice.

All I can say VADA are spot on when it comes to testing. Caught loads from boxing. They take blood tests as well as historical records ie his previous historical testosterone levels. So this is a tough one to digest especially getting 4 years means they’re satisfied he’s guilty. Taking testosterone accidentally for his levels to have spiked high for an adverse finding very hard.

“WADA” - sucks a**. I wrote about their bs for years. They’re selective af. Just take a look at cycling, or tennis. I knew people who were doping - who didn’t get caught. The man who supplied entire teams and one of THE most famous tennis player… zero athletes got busted; the doc? A few years ban-- he’s been back at it.

One of our rugby layers got caught taking PEDS, he got banned for fighting the testers when they came for him and he did an interview admitting everything after retiring. They went back through his old samples and found positives. don’t know how they had positive samples from before and not be out brought anything up though

I know someone who’s been banned for 10 years because ref was shouting at his mum and then offered him a fight had a fight then the guy been banned for 10 years 😂
