I am now 72, and can tell anyone who wants to know that in 1963 when The Beatles burst in to the charts it was always 'glad confident morning'. The Beatles changed everything , they were the most influential cultural phenomena of the second half of the 20th century world wide. To end I hope Paul and Ringo live forever.

The real Paul McCartney died late 1966 and Ringo is the last living member in 2020 that played on all of their albums and toured with them. Regarding 82-83 year old lying "Sir Paul" (William), do you really want this a-hole to go on forever ? Bill have greatly damaged JPM's legacy.

What you need to remember is that she doesn't go and devour every piece of McCartney trivia like we do. She has actual memories rather than sound bytes. So she got the albums wrong. But she remembers her mom and dad making an album. She knows the Beatles did "All you need is love" but she's probably never watched the performance on on You Tube with four grown men singing in a room full of people. I think it's a tribute to the way they raised her that she is absolutely clueless about the things we all know about his famous side. I love it.

I remember Paul saying in an interview that two of his daughters were riding by on a little pony, and one of them pointed at him and said, "you're Paul McCartney." I don't really think when they were little they even understood what that meant. I think now they know how famous he is, but he is still just dad to them. :)

@Richard Grover all the other BEATLES say that Paul was the inspiration and the most productive bc of him always wanting to go to the studio and work. I think maybe he even helped produce the music or whatever after Brian Epstein died can't remember the exact job or time or anything for sure.

@@TR12365 see i don't think so. It just says the vote was probably a mistake. That doesnt indicate a dislike of the result over a dislike of the original idea behind having a vote. The original idea was Cameron running scared over intra party machinations. It was a totally uncalled for referendum and wouldn't have happened if Cameron wasnt scared of that part of his party.

Mabe, I'm Amazed....after watching the newly released documentary, Get Back, Nov. 25, 2021 and then stumbling onto this and many other Beatles' interviews. Paul McCartney is a true , articulate gentleman. His family is so well grounded, and that must bring him great pleasure. At 70, and having purchased Remastered and Reissued releases : The White Album, Abbey Road, and now Let It Be ( box sets with books, etc.) , it reinforces and reinstills the greatness of The Beatles. Each of the Fab 4 had their own personalities, and the people of my generation watched Them Grow Up. I have just watched Eight Day A Week - The Touring Years movie. It serves to remind us of what BEATLEMANIA was a d how it affected them individually. It takes you to 1966, where after an awful concert tour in that year, culminating at a "crazy" concert in San Fransisco, made them all simultaneousy agree to not do concerts a y longer. They stayed a Studio Band, making some of the Best Music of the Ages.

@@olskzeri4537 yeah, right. As if William was the only man to be brought in to act as Paul Replacement. There's no doubt that Paul was replaced, it is clear as day. And while Billy might be the main replacement, there were a couple of other guys running around pretending to be Paul right up a couple years ago. One of them was called Marty Rose. He was the one who looked the most like Paul. He had a small face, round head, highly swooped eyebrows and a small thin nose. And then there was William, whom as you know has green eyes, long thin nose, elongated face and dangling chin - and least but not last there was Pete Santora. Who looked a good bit like William but there were a few minor differences - such as his eyes which are blue, the shape of his face which is slightly shorter than than that of Williams and his nose which is quite robust, and looks slightly beaked from the side. So there you have it those 3 men were brought in to act as Paul replacements in the late 60s and spent the last 50 years pretending to be him. Marty - the one small face and round head quit his stint as a False Paul in 2001 while, Pete the false Paul in the video above. (That is right, the man in the video is not William, but Pete. You can tell by the slightly shorter face, and robust nose.) He quit his stunt as a False Paul on December of 2019. And of course William is still at it.

Ha ha "I love all my children equally" - every parent of more than one child says the same thing! My mom said it all the time - 4 girls.

A slight wince occurred over here when Stella said Paul had come up with 'All You Need is Love', and in his teens. That's some pretty basic Beatles history for a Beatles daughter to not know. I guess she grew up so close to it. Poor old Paul felt he had to redress the balance by saying John would get irritated when Paul's songs were attributed to him. There' still a little rivalry there then...

I love Paul and I always did. I am wonderfully surprised that Linda and their children are so thoughtful and nice. I am so thankful for this interview.

Linda grounded him. She was his rock, his foundation. She brought out the best in him.

They go on about Linda's love of simplicity yet both Stella and Mary are very much the designer wearing affluent yummy mummies of London. Nannies and assistants etc they don't really follow their mum for that. You can tell Linda really loved that the simple life with not loads of material things. it wasn't just a trend for her.

Good to see Paul and family together doing fine. Linda would be so proud.

I like how they are so British in everyway except they say, "Mom", instead of "Mum". That's great. I've also heard Paul refer to Linda as "Mom" when talking to the kids. Even the longer Linda lived in England, she picked up the accent, but "Mom" still remained. Precious!

Mom is actually an extremely British word. I'm welsh, i do say mum but most will say "mam", but my mum is from Birmingham, grew up in wales but still refer to her mother as "mom", paul being a scouse wouldn't expect him to say any different. You even hear American celebrities call their mothers "mummy", to me that's what my 9 year old says. Wow reading back my own and thinking so many ways to say mum 😂 i hope all that actually made sense

@Donna G Mary is named to honor Paul's beloved late mum, too. She is her namesake and, boy, was he proud of his first little newborn.

Linda McCartney was one of the greatest photographers of the Rock 'N' Roll Era. While there were dozens of pioneering female photographers who worked before she was active, Linda did get a lot of outstanding pictures from many of the major bands and music artists of the 1960's, and also some from the 1970's and 1980's. Despite what some may believe, her photographs are not all just Beatles or McCartney-related images. Secondly, John Lennon mostly wrote "All You Need Is Love." It was especially written for The Beatles appearance as the official UK representatives for the 1967 "Our World" TV Special. "Our World" was the first worldwide satellite TV broadcast, and each major country on the planet, and some small countries as well, were each allowed one music act or speaker for the show. Paul had recently turned 25 when the show aired. Finally, I'm an American, so perhaps it's not my place to voice an opinion on Brexit. All I wish to point out is that Ringo Starr lives in Los Angeles most of the year, so while, as an English citizen, he of course has an opinion on Brexit, the actual outcome of the matter is not something he will feel every day, or even that often. Paul McCartney spends months in New York and Los Angeles each year, but primarily lives in England. His children and grandchildren, with the exception of his eldest daughter Heather, all live in England. His family will be affected much more by how it is all decided.

As one who turned 14 in 1970. and only then was I interested in early Elvis and the Beatles. We had fm radio in the US and CCR was popular on the radio and with record sales. (I played guitar and keyboards). 1st album I bought of the Beatles was the Hard Day's Night soundtrack album, 2nd album I ever bought was McCartney 1, there I met Paul and Linda daughter Mary being held by Paul. Once seen, one can NOT un-see it...right??? Rock On!

i don't know about ian kilmister, but i know 'the clash' were undecided, because they didn't know if they should stay or go. lemmy probably thought the remainer's eagerness to stay was overkill.

Lemmy wouldn't have supported Brexit. Motörhead were a working class rock band and Lemmy, despite the sex and drugs, was always a polite and considerate gentleman. He certainly supported the regeneration of Northern industry. having been born in Stoke but I would expect that he probably never bothered to vote, or if he did he'd be aligned with Labour. Also, despite collecting Nazi memorabilia, he liked it for the aesthetic. He was against nationalism and racism. Go read his biography or listen to his interviews.

i knew all of motorhead's band members way back in the early 80's, when they were signed to bronze records under doug smith, along with girlschool & tank. i believe lemmy would have been a labour brexiteer, rather than a tory one, especially with the way unemployment is rife in the north of england right now, even though he was from the midlands. all the best.

Lovely family! And definitely my sister is the favourite child in my family.

Two amazing things. First, he made Mary's baby bed from potato boxes?! Very cool! What humility. Second, Mary hardly goes a say without seeing or hearing something about her dad. Never thought of it from that perspective. Must be so strange for a kid to see their parent displayed like that constantly.

i will go out on a limb and say Paul McCartney is the most well known, most recognized, most beloved man in the world. The day that man dies, something profound will have been lost. The Fab Four were EVERYTHING.

First female photographers lived in the 19th century. First instant camera came out in the 1940s. Come on...

It’s a tug of war.

Out with the girls, promoting a book of his late wife's work is no surprise. Paul is the practical-genius boy-next-door; driven by an old school work ethic, and a love of music. That he has continued to make himself accessible after decades in the spotlight, is more than a function of duty and responsibility (i.e., to whom much has been given, much is expected); it is an act of love. The world needs more people like him: Authentic, thinking people who, although they may hold strong views and emotions, are publicly moderate in their speech and demeanor. Soft spoken but the absolute antithesis of a pushover. Moreover, that British "get on with it" attitude is comforting in the reactionary "you're not important unless you are a member of a group of self-proclaimed victims" world we have quietly allowed to bully us into submission. Thank you Paul.

So out of a 12 minute video on which about 90 seconds of footage was manoeuvred towards Brexit, the BBC come up with a title of "Paul McCartney says Brexit vote was probably a mistake" !!! No Bias there then 🙄

So many famous people are so private with their life,witch is great.But seeing great pictures of a man who’s family inspired him to write beautiful music that changed to world is so cool.You can see where a lot of his music comes from.Thank you Mccartney family.(AZ)

No one is 'just' anything. He is a complex human being like the rest of us, and as a songwriter, I'd say he's a sage because of his personal realisations that he is able to communicate to millions of people and make their lives easier, if not happier.

@Yellyman, it's the Americans who really took to the Beatles. The jealously of Brits would have held them back eventually. 'don't get above your station' is brit thing. whereas Americans encourage and value success.

One of the first woman photographers..hmm Diane Arbus, Ruth Orkin, offense a great talent

Apropos Brexit: "Give Ireland back to the Irish. Don't make them have to [receive it back again]".

I thought it was a very nice interview, I enjoy listening to him speaking and the civility and down to earth conversation, who cares if they can remember what happened when, it really doesn't matter. I do wish people would stop weighing up a conversation on the rights and wrongs. If you heard what Paul said he can't remember many things because his life was so full. It's a fact we can remember details of this and not that we are all like that.

I love Linda McCartney. She was super duper cool. So down to earth and not at all materialistic. I think she helped him so much. I feel calmer when I hear her in interviews. She made it seem like all is well and everything will work out. Miss her. She was a rare gem and wanted to be in with the rest of us. She said it was more fun. She really knew that we are all the same. Paul was lucky.

When he was inconsolably depressed at the time the Beatles broke up, she was there to strongly and unwaveringly encourage and support him, and convince him he can do this again. Wonder what he would have done without her.

Paul just seems so anxious when he has to share the spotlight, even with his daughters. Of course maybe any parent is a bit nervous that their kids will say something to embarrass them.

I really like the McCartneys and it is great to see that they always honour Linda's memory. I like the fact that they care for animal welfare the same as i do. The interviewer (forgot her name) done a good job here, asking good questions. thanks for uploading

There is NO McCartneys in this video. All there is, is "Sir Paul" (William) with his children.

A Dad between two intelligent strong willed daughters...I know that feeling well.

We are aging and it is life.

Sure, give Ireland back to the Irish....but best keep the UK in the EU. Hypocrite. Freedom and independence for all nations that want it.

Well, he's a bit politically wet and naive. He sounds a bit like my brother who thinks we should all be a big brotherhood and love in, and pharmaceuticals are nice because they develop lots of drugs for us all. Isn't that nice? We are on opposite poles but I love my brother. He doesn't have the same mindset I have and doesn't see the paradigm as I do. He would do anything to avoid confrontation. I'm the opposite. I refuse to take any shit from the EU.

Fats Domino The early beatles covered many of their songs And McCartney owns Buddy Holly rights. They did perform the occasional sea shanty, such as "Maggie May".. I Here are the lyrics for your edification... "Oh Maggie, Maggie May they have taken her away And she'll never walk down Lime street anymore For she robbed so many sailors and captains of the whalers That dirty, robbin' no good Maggie May"... 😁
