You're giving him waay to much credit. I remember watching WWE in 2007. 2008. and he had zero enthusiasm, botching constantly especially move names.

They bounced off each pretty well. And Heyman really thought through his commentary design. Interesting. I did not realize Paul gives JR that much credibility. He's right about everything in that conversation.

I’m getting back into wrestling after about a 20 year break. I missed over the top characters like Heyman. The quintessential silver tongued, lovable sleaze ball. You can see him selling snake oil to unwitting rubes in a different era.

Heyman and JR were an underrated broadcast team. They literally sounded like they despised each other. Especially that one segment on RAW after Austin threw Angle off the stage. I thought they were gonna come to blows.

Paul Heyman tells it like he sees it & he doesn’t hold back. That’s one of the many reason why I respect him. Another reason why is because he was responsible for Extreme Championship Wrestling.

The thing about JR is that he can sell *any character* no matter how good or bad. JR, known for hurling curses and damnation at Triple H in the early 2000s, was all praises and admiration for him in WM28 during his legendary match with the Undertaker
