I had an FCW tryout years ago. (AJ Lee and Adam Rose were trying out too) Dusty called me up and i cut what i thought was a decent "asian" promo. There were only 2 asians in attendance and I had a thick chinese accent. Later he called me up again to promo and he was ripping people apart so i said, hell with it, we all have to try and stand out. So i cut this very Eddie Kingston shoot like promo (back when he was czw) and confused many people who believed i was from china (im not). Instead of ripping me like the others, he asked me one question, said good job and go sit down.

I met Dusty and Flair as a kid. My mom took me to see them and a few hours later I went to pick up my grandfather from work at 7-11 at about midnight. They were Plastered Drunk playing Pac-Man. I got their autographs on a 7-11 napkin. It Did wake me up that wrestling was Entertainment, as I learned the two mortal enemies were best of friends. I still loved watching them, and Dusty was my favorite.

It's a long, irrelevant story but I stopped being a fan of Wrestling when the made Flair cut his hair + then they made him put people over in the center of the ring which not only demeaned him but also the legacy of the NWA Championship. I used to work my ass off in the '80s so I could afford to fly down South to see Flair + the NWA stars. The only reason I mentioned having stopped watching Wrestling was when I quit Paul Heyman was just coming on the scene. I remember this little bit of a guy with a Mulletand never could I ever imagine that cat, that little man, who I didn't take to at the time would become this "Giant" of wrestling. Both figuratively + Literally. When I first saw him few yrs ago I remember thinking who is this cat that a little bit like that Paul E. Dangerously if you did the old Bugs Bunny or Road Runner routine of attaching a pump to a person + blowing them up. WHAT! That IS him? Is it a WORK? Ya know, a fat suit for a work. It's one thing when you see them all along, if they get bigger you don't notice because it's done over time. When you don't see someone for yrs and they've gotten old + gray it's a shock. Ssme with getting fat. It's shocking. But much respect to ya Paul. Good on ya. Niiiicce.👍
