That one outcome destroyed something that will never happen again. A 20-year company loyalist, occult following like no other, a performer that never broke character for more than 20 years, And they f****** flushed it all for an a****** who doesn't even like wrestling. I lost all respect for an interest in WWE when I saw that. And I don't think I'm the only person that made that decision

I've watched the 2nd broken skulls session of the undertaker with stone cold, on wwe network, and he finally admitted that he was not ready to break the streak. He believed that brock does not need to break the streak to boost his career, and undertaker should keep the streak safe and alive, for any future star, and he mentioned roman reigns, as a candidate to break the streak. And undertaker clearly says in the interview that, if no-one emerges as the worthy opponent in the future to break the streak, then undertaker would have liked to keep the streak undefeated and retire with that. This was undertaker himself, finally opening up about the topic. But in the end, it was vince, who believed that it was the right time to break the streak, so he decided to book the finish. He even shared the story, when vince himself came to his dressing to tell him about the finish of the match, and undertaker confirmed that this was not usual of vince to come to the dressing room himself, usually he calls the wrestlers in his room, and tell them the finish, but as this was a big career decision, for the undertaker, vince himself came to him with the bad news. And undertaker said " When I SAW THAT VINCE IS COMING TO MY DRESSING ROOM, TO DISCUSS THE FINISH, I KNEW THEN AND THERE THAT THE STREAK IS OVER, HE DECIDED TO BREAK IT. And if you are thinking why undertaker did not refuse..? The answer is, he is so much loyal and devoted to vince, that he could not said no. He always believed in giving back to the business, ahead of his own personal accomplishments. So, paul heyman is just playing ball, with everyone, the truth is, that it was vince's decision, and undertaker agreed out of his 25-30 years old loyalty. It was after watching that broken skulls session, I realised that undertaker was also not ready for that. And a little unpopular opinion here but I think, that the whole undertaker getting concussed during the match and not remembering anything from that night and immediately going to the hospital angle was a work. Just to legitimize the breaking of the streak. Just think about it, he went home the next day. It is the most humiliating night of his life, to see a 21 year old organically created streak die in from of him, why would he describe that terrible feeling again and again to everyone in the media, that is why to spare him that, they worked the concussion angle, and now undertaker is let off from that question because "he was concussed and did not remember anything" Just give a thought to it, just a theory from all the interviews.

I agree. There was only two times I would have been okay with Taker losing at Wrestlemania. The first was against Randy Orton. I truly believed Orton had a chance and at that time in his career, it would have been amazing. The second is Edge because he too has never been pinned or submitted at Wrestlemania meaning at the time, he was 6-0. I don't mind one streak ending to another.

What I can remember is Undertaker's last great fight and feud was with Punk at Wrestlemania 29. That was a hell of a storyline and also a great fight to watch many more times. Wrestlemania 30 wasn’t bad, It was special actually for ended the streak. After that Taker lost his fighting shape. And never gave a great fight. They should've retired taker after the streak so that the value and the impact of the undertaker will remain forever. Most importantly, I hate the fact that WWE, after Punk's title reign ended, never treated like he was the best for business of that time, they forgot he was the longest reiging WWE Champion. In the whole 2013 he got two great storyline that was with Taker and Lesnar. Even like Lesnar and Paul, Punk also wanted to have this feud at wrestlemania. Fans would have been so intrigued to see that happed. They can simply put Taker with Cena or Wyatt. And remain the streak with 22-0, and then retire that would have been a perfect view to end a legacy, a greatest career after Wrestlemania 30. All Punk wanted is to have a good storyline and good feud. But no, They gave shits to punk and that led him to leave WWE and it's been 7 years we never saw Punk wrestled.

When first watching Summerslam, i was surprised it wasn't the main event, but at end of the night i understood why it wasn't. The Wrestlemania match should've been a triple threat match, and Undertaker should've faced Y2J. The following year should've been Batista vs Brock, Cena vs Undertaker, and the main event similar to Vengeance 2001, first Punk vs HHH, then Orton vs Daniel Bryan, and in final match i would have Punk after beating HHH face Orton and Bryan because their match ended in a tie or both counted out, so main event Punk vs Orton vs Bryan with Bryan winning.

Took awhile to get over it but did heck the only people to have a better win/loss record are two football teams the 2007 Patriots going perfect until the Super Bowl and the Giants played spoiler. For Brock Lesner to break the streak before the Undertaker could officially retire is the same kind of equivalent to that record. Makes you wonder if Brock had that in the back of his mind when he was given his Wrestlemania assignment.

They should have waited a year and got sting. They should have kept stings signing between vary few people so non of the sting vs authority bullshit. Have undertaker Come out giving a challenge to face him at Wrestlemania, but for weeks no one answers the call. On the night of Wrestlemania he gives his last challenge request. A reimagined version of this is sting plays from wcw starcade. The seconded it says this is sting his music plays and a spotlight hits the top of the ramp with sting standing there. He makes his way to the ring, they fight, undertaker loses his streak at mania. So this would have been stings wwe debut, facing undertaker in a dream match 20 years in the making with a streak 20 years in the making on the line. With two of wrestling biggest legends. Sting hits that 1, 2, 3.... it would have been the biggest Wrestlemania moment in history. Just look how much attention stings wwe debut got, and how much attention undertaker losing the streak got. Imagine both of those in one. I would then have them feud into the next two PPVs. And this is where all the mind and smoke and mirror games between the two happen. But I'd have undertaker win at the next two PPVs. And in the end sting goes out losing like his generation of wrestler like doing, as well as both coming out looking strong. As Sting took his streak but Undertaker won the Dream feud.
