Why? How is that cool that paul virtue signals on a guy who just stated his appreciation of Benoit as a Wrestler? And how is it right that Paul, a promoter who booked dangerous matches with unprotected shots to the head gets to lecture anyone about Benoit who lost his mind due to the industry's careless for their wrestlers health? Benoit's brain was literally rotting inside his skull, and its all because of rat fucks like Paul who will never take any responsibility for their part in the amount of wrestlers who live and die with fucked up injuries. Dustin Parks Well, according to others who probably were MUCH more closer to him said he was a very nice guy who loved his family and wrestling. Why is it that guys like Jericho or Chavo are still publicly talking about Benoit without giving 2 fucks about what some may say? Maybe because deep down they’re still doubting about that day? Perhaps. @@franciscofigueroa9459 No because all evidence points to the fact that man murdered his wife and child and any evidence to the contrary is circumstantial at best or requires you to outright ignore conflicting evidence. Chris Benoit killed his wife and son, thinking anything other than that is asinine and is just a person not wanting to admit someone they enjoyed could really be a monster. Just think about it, what fucking reason would WWE have to continue to say that Chris Benoit committed those crimes if he truly didn't, especially when the reasoning given for why he committed them reflects poorly on them as a company and has costs them hundreds of thousands if not millions in bad press and concussion protocols. Do you honestly think that if their was even a sliver of a chance that Benoit didn't do those things WWE wouldn't be all over that to clear themselves of any wrong doing attributed to them? It's not propaganda. Chris Benoit is a murderer. Enjoy his matches if you want, I still fully can't personally. But stop spreading this conspiracy bullshit just cause you like him. As Paul said, Fuck him.

WWE will never put him in the HoF, it would be business suicide. If you don't remember, the media storm around the Benoit Tragedy had quite nearly killed Professional Wrestling in North America. Could you imagine the hellish shitstorm of a backlash they'd get for trying to honor a man who killed his wife and child as an outstanding performer?

I also deeply respect your views on the Benoit situation. I've always wondered about the amount CTE played a role, but you're right. It doesn't matter what played a role, he chose to do it. You knew the man. You know the industry. You know the toll it takes. So if you're saying that, then that's 100% where I'm going to finally go myself. It was a damned tragedy and there was no reason for any of it to happen regardless of reason.

The point of paul is mainly he doesnt care about the reasons for the action. defending benoit with cte or whatever will not change the fact that he killed his wife and kid. we may never know everything that happened that night, we may never know what is happening inside benoit's head, but the fact remains the same: he murdered his wife and kid then killed himself. we can understand why it happened(cte etc) but does that make it acceptable to murder his family? absolutely fucking not.

@@kashmir1225 And I'm saying if Chris Benoit's crimes were influenced by mental affliction brought on by his physical injuries, I don't like one of the guys who enabled those injuries for his own profit to be saying he doesn't care about them. Wrestling promoters have an extremely bad habit of using wrestlers up and then not giving a crap what happens afterwards and we saw the effects of that in the last two decades when a ton of them died right in front of us.

  • @5q88

@Jeff Miller Before the Benoit thing CTE wasn’t an issue that was really talked about in any contact sport. So blaming the promoters for not taking more precaution isn’t really a good take. Furthermore there’s a decent amount of evidence that points to Benoit being in 100% control of himself mentally with how meticulously planned out the murders were. Steroids and Eddie’s death played a huge role in him going off the deep end. As Vickey detailed how distraught and disconnected he became after Eddie died. Regardless trying to pin him murdering his family on anyone else but him is dumb.
