If you hated that guy as a kid, then you love him by the time you know who he was and why he acts in a way to make you hate him as a kid, then he did a wonderful job. As a wrestling promoter, he will do his absolute best to make you entertain. He doesn't have to wrestle, he just have to do something to make you invest on your emotions based on the situation. If he's being a babyface, he'll make you cheer for him (I love his monologue in ECW One Night Stand). If he's being a heel, he'll make you hate him so much you want to make him eat his words.

@@theunhingedgamer3762 that's because Hogan had more say than Bischoff since he wanted to make it the Hogan show. Aside from that, Bischoff has said that he despises his time in TNA, whereas in WWE he's never had any complaints whatsoever. That's why people aren't worried because Bischoff will have other people to advise him, whereas both WCW and TNA had Hogan at the center of their downfalls. If anything SmackDown has to worry about is Vince still micromanaging over Bischoff running the show.

It was genius. He got all of us. I remember the mood at that time was like, "why is CM Punk gone, give us a fucking explanation", because nobody would talk about it. But as soon as that segment happened, a lot of people, me included, thought that it was all a story line. Because of course they wouldn't talk about it if it was real right? Or at least that was the mindset in 2014. So, when we started thinking it was a story line, there was no need anymore to chant his name demanding for an explanation or "hijack Raw". Because he was indeed coming back. Or that's what we thought. PS: I know this will sound stupid as fuck, but you need to try to remember the mindset in 2014 and all that I've said so far: I remember a particular moment in the main event of Wrestlemania were I thought Punk was going to come out and help Daniel Bryan. I think it was after a powerbomb or something on Bryan. Hell, even the crowd started quietly chanting his name. Sounds extremely stupid now, but that was the impact that Hayman promo caused. Just brilliant.
