When I hear Paul Harvey's voice I hear my tractor on the background cause it was the only station I could pick up, I smell diesel fuel, I smell hay, I hear my dad's voice, I taste baloney and cheese sandwiches with lays potato chips, drink water from a water jug, sleep better than anyone from the city could even dream of. I didn't realize how happy I was when I was listening to Paul Harvey every day.

Exactly. The best way to grow up is on a mixed farm. Cattle, Hay, grain and pasture. I am right now in the fight of my life to get the family farm. Nobody else wants to do anything on it or run it but they all want the money if its sold. What a bunch of scabs.

My late husband Kurt Markus contributed three photographs to this commercial I produced the shoot photographed in Eastern Montana in and around the towns of HIghwood and Geraldine. Early cold mornings to ride out with the farmers and ranchers to capture these photographs. Special thanks to the RIchards Group for making this commercial. xx Maria Markus

This aired during one of the Superbowls. It is powerful and 100% true. I worked on John Deeres in 1981. I was 24 years old. Went to many farms around North Texas to load them up on a flatbed. I knew a lot of farmers in my area. Good people. Hard working souls for little money.

So you think your invisible imaginary god can bless farmers do you? You would think your god would help the two million plus children that starve to death every year around the world. Or how about people around the world who eat out of garbage dumps to survive. Or the millions that live in extreme poverty. Or how about the million plus children that are homeless here in the USA. It’s like your god doesn’t exist at all. Religious beliefs are ignorant primitive superstition grow up.

I certainly do... I pray and have an appreciation for the farmers who produce our food and the truckers who get it to us. I also have an appreciation for the bees' hard work and contribution in this process. My grandfather was a farmer that contributed a lot to the community in his day. My mama grew vegetables throughout my whole childhood having to raise 7 children on her own as a widow... I learned from watching her, my love for growing vegetables and the like. It's very hard... but rewarding work.AD-B🙂

Tomorrow is my father in laws funeral, at 99+, he was one of these farmers that did everything in this amazing talk by Paul Harvey. He farmed in South Dakota, raised nine children, took them to schools for many years until some were old enough to drive, Church on Sundays nine miles away. Always working to better their lives, worked hard and prayed hard. May you Rest In Peace, the gate is closed it is your turn to relax and enjoy the peace of heaven! Love you forever Dad!

I literally felt a little nauseous hearing all of that to than find out that someone decided to put this Steve Harvey bit in a commercial to sell a truck which is made by a well known and relatively well to do Auto motive company.and it's not like they're unveiling a super advanced truck which can also double as a tracker and ten fold more reliable and fuel efficient and affordable to the people they're advertising it to so for an organization's only focus is the bottom line which is make as much bank as easily as possible at any cost so long as we're most likely going to get away with it or have to pay a fine which is still cheaper than not doing whatever money saving schemes that got us the fine in the first place.Thats the typical big company with what you can expect vast majority of the time and they really haven't proven them selfs to have really truely cares about humanity and thats how most of the people high up in the company feels and wont cave to bigger more powerful entities than our selves like say a bank or another company which may also be gettimg extra support from said banks and some of the companies CEOs use to work for a key bank.So it's pretty sick that this company would use this to sell a truck..

Hello: My grandest gratitude for your grandaddy and all the love, dedication, and determination his hard work presented to not only help himself, his family, and those who would come after, but the country he worked hard to help through his servanthood and sacrifice. Appreciation inside your steps. God Bless, John German

@@danielharper635 The farmer's parents made the farmer. Cows made the cows, but humans created their huge udders. Nobody made the pastures, unless those were originally forested areas, in which case humans made them. Oh, and these aren't what I "think". They're what I know. It's not hard to learn -- and it's never too late. Yeah, I have a good heart... and a pretty good brain.

Besides the fact that I love Paul Harvey, I love that you put this on your channel. It reminds me of why I am doing what I'm doing and on such a small scale as to make most farmers laugh. Let them laugh. I know I can feed myself, my family, my animals, and my neighbors when tough time come. I do my best and have a great time doing it. All I have to do now is have enough income to make it all happen!
