Hundreds of comments on how motivating this video is. Do not forget this is the man that proposed and planned the highly risky military operation to bring OBL to justice. We are not just motivated by this man we are all safer because he used all these ethics to face terrorism head on. He is a leader. He is a warrior. He is a patriot.

In my forties I suffered from depression, ADHD and horrible, crippling procrastination. I'm going to be 60 next birthday and have never been happier. I found my faith in God, I make my bed, I work for myself and I exercise. The power of momentum is incredible. Just as one step propels you forward, each action builds on the next action to get you where you are. Birthdays used to depress me as I measured them by how much I had failed to achieve in my life. I give thanks to God and can't wait to celebrate the next one.

This speech was the reason I dropped everything, moved out of Chicago, started college at 29 now, and now I am graduating double major!! Today I started my internship at one of the largest companies in the world… and and signed an offer that guarantees a high paying job that starts two weeks after I graduate…. In 2.5 years I fixed what I missed up for 29 years because of this speech!!

My mom quoted this at my high school graduation. We didn't think that the other graduates were listening too much... But I was later invited to a beach retreat with almost all 13 of them(we were homeschooled), and we all shared a beach house. I noticed that everyone, even the boys, made their beds. I had known all these kids all my life, and none of them ever made their beds. But now, just a week after we graduated, they all started to. My mom was smiling so brightly when I told her about it. Such simple actions can change the world, and such simple words can motivate some of the most subborn people I have ever known.

I retired after 21 years in the Army, all as an infantryman. Numerous tours to the Middle East and Africa. Even after 14 years of leaving my beloved career, I seem to miss it every day. I have listened to this speech over 50 times. Especially on those dark days where I can't get my head quite right. And every time I listen to it, it helps me remember why I joined. What I joined for. And to be proud of the job that we had done. In today's society, where it is not fashionable to be proud of America and to be patriotic, I can hold my head up and stand on the principles that were instilled in me as a young man. All gung hoe and eager to get on every deployment or school possible. I look back and think to myself, is this the same America that my brothers died for? To all who have served and that are currently serving, I say thank you for your service. God bless every one of you and your families. It's a hell of a ride and it goes way too fast. Enjoy every minute and embrace the suck! RLTW

Great speech…I dropped out of high school in 11th grade working to support myself and help my mom and I just to eat a meal. A year and half later I took a test and earned my high school GED. I was lucky to get in the military the last month they took GED diplomas…afterwards High School degrees only. I feel lucky to have served a 20 year career in the military starting from E-1 to retire O4 USN active duty. I learned so much and was inspired by so many during my military career. I used my military skill sets to work another 16 years as a civilian following my military career. I’m now a fully retired multi-millionaire, a true rag to riches stories. Military service for the USA change my life drastically. Bravo Zulu to all those who serve.

A very important person in my life that I was fortunate enough to meet when he made it home from the MARINE'S told me to never let anything stand in your way don't ever be scared of anything or anyone and it doesn't matter how many of them that there is fear no one or anything. And whatever obstacles that are set before you, you either climb over it go under it or around it. If that doesn't work you have to go right through the middle of it whatever it takes to get to the the other side of it. I took those words with me and made it a point to make sure that I remembered them and used it as a tool to get through a lot rough things in life. So if you are reading this young man It was your father that instilled those words in my mind. You should be very proud.

Thank you for posting this. I am having a really tough time right now, I am a disabled person, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy and Autism. I am a part-time history professor, who does not have much money. But, I do have a woman, who I love dearly with all my heart. We are separated by a vast ocean, and she is rightly angry with me. I have fought and tried to get other jobs, but have been denied due to my disabilities. There have been days when I really want to die. But, I want to change the world. I want to change her world. She is my guide, and she is the greatest and bravest woman I have ever met. She is worth everything, AND I WILL NOT HESITATE TO SURVIVE THIS CIRCUS! I WILL GO IN HEAD FIRST, AND I WILL NEVER RING THAT BELL! Thank you, again, for squaring me up!
