Love everything about this composition. The lyrics,Paul's voice the harmony ,melody arrangement, short sweet guitar solo and that key change up a whole step. Absolutely beautiful. My son heard it for the first time as i drove him home from a party and loved it.He's just turned 21.A song to pick up and be romantic.

One of Paul Davis' great songs that many reactors never seem to find is, "Sweet Life." Thanks, Harri!

@@bls5160 Unfortunately I did not get to meet him. By the time I met my future wife Paul had taken up residence on the west coast. He came back to Meridian late in life which is where he passed away.

Love Meridian. Unfortunately we had to Move away from Meridian for work but will go back in two week. It’s such a shame what happened to Paul’s gravestone.I hope his cousin finds help to restore it.

Harri, I know you have reacted to both this Paul Davis song as well as "I Go Crazy." Both are slow ballads but he had another rather upbeat hit called "'65 Love Affair." It is a very good song worthy of your attention. Thanks.

Hard to believe Paul died of a heart attack the day after his 60th birthday in 2008. He left us way too soon. R.I.P. Paul.

The only song that sticks out that Paul did was I Go Crazy. But I recall this song now and always liked it. It has a nice breezy feel and you're right it would be a great seduction number ha! I also recall a perfect situation applied to me when I was young! Only wanted one thing he did, but no go with me tho close!

He was mainly a song writer, wrote several hits for other artists. I remember hearing he got shot but I don't think that's what he died from.
