I saw the Eagles along with Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Doobie Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire & Steely Dan in 2017. A two day concert called Classic East. Amazing. Glen Frey’s Son Deacon played.

So many wonderful songs and albums. Not a throw away song to be found. Seen them live 3 times, favorite was in Cincinnati mid to late 90s. They played my favorite song of all time. Their verion of Romeo and Juliet. And they brought every ounce of that songs passion out live.

Sounds identical to the original by Johnny Kidd and The Pirates , but goes to pot at the end of the song with all that din and shrieking.

Musically speaking, there are two sides of Todd Rundgren. There is the side who writes songs like this, and there is the Todd that writes very experimental, progressive songs. I prefer the pop side…

I really liked that you listened to and reacted to the song without the video. I first heard this song with the accompanying video, and I can’t hear it now without remembering the visual imagery that Dylan chose to include. It is one of my favorites of his. The picture of Ali with the arrows hits me hard. Thanks.

1978, 14 years old, barely knowing anything about anything, I thought this was such a dirty sexy song, and I loved it. 2024, 61 years old, knowing a little more about a lot, this is such a dirty sexy song, and I still love it. So glad to have been around when it first came out. Great memories. Thanks for covering it.

Cannot listen to this without tearing up……..well she went over the rainbow far too early. . If you don,t react to this you have a heart of stone and you don,t need to know her story to get the reaction. The sweet sadness is just there.

Yeah this performance was rushed because it was on a TV show when he has time to really act it out, and a better recording he made everyone want to get up and move.

Just before each tour, Bob creates a new voice for himself. It also adapts over a tour so a song first night sounds completely different on the last night.

He’s saying that even with all his success he feels like Jesse James still trying to make a name for himself but yet no matter what name he tries to make for himself, all he is is a troubadour, that’s how he started in his young life and that’s what he will be when he dies. ❤
