Patrick Mahomes on QB Rivals, Brady Advice & Curry Comps | New Heights w/Jason & Travis Kelce |EP 15

Спорт

On the fifteenth episode of New Heights, Jason and Travis finally got to sit down and have an incredible conversation with 4-time pro bowler, NFL MVP, and Super Bowl Champion Quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes.
Quick reminder, if you missed our previous interview with Eagles QB Jalen Hurts make sure you check it out here: • Jalen Hurts on Draft N...
In this episode, Jason and Travis get Pat to explain why the Chiefs might not be running the QB sneak any time soon. We also dive into our most heated New Heights debate, who has the best fast food burger, the insane backstory about how he crushed his draft interview with Andy Reid, how his relationship with Alex Smith made him a better pro, and the legendary first meeting that led to his bromance with Travis.
The guys also get the never before heard story of how Pat basically drafted himself in 2017, how he’s adjusted to running an offense with a Tight End, why his greatest rival might be the teleprompter, and his welcome to the NFL moment playing against Tom Brady.
We also have some incredible stories behind his first start as a Chief: how he feels about all those wild comebacks, his thoughts on all the MVP chatter, and all the comparisons to Michael Jordan and Steph Curry.
Patrick also shares the superstitions he’s kept with him since his rookie year, what rivalries he’s got with other QBs, who is on his QB, Mt. Rushmore, and why Travis might not be the greatest partner in beer pong.
Watch and listen to new episodes of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce every Wednesday during the NFL season & check us out on Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok for all the best moments from the show.

My daughter went to school with Patrick at Texas Tech. They graduated the same year. She said he was such a nice guy. They did a fundraiser in one of their classes that was for underprivileged children. She came up with the t-shirt design. They asked Patrick if they could use his likeness. He said “of course”. It was actually a silhouette of him passing a football. On the back it said, “Me and Mahommies!” She still wears it all the time. ❤🖤❤️ Wreck ‘em Tech! 💪 up!

My brother in law is a DIE HARD Eagles fan, and I love what they’re doing with their game plan. That being said, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes might be the most dynamic duo in the NFL. It doesn’t matter who your team is, facts are facts. They’re disgustingly good. If they’re both healthy, you can’t guard that.

@@celsiiius that's like back when Peyton signed with denver, there was no player I had greater respect for in the league than Peyton Manning. Probably cuz he owned the Chiefs as a colt.. Then signed with the arch rivals, attracted a ton of all-star players to ALSO join denver, and then be proceeded to dominate the Chiefs again wearing rival colors lol... But thats the effect truly elite players have, across all sports. There's just not a lot of weakness to their game. If you claim to not like them, it's probably just because you're a hater.. That, and they attract other talent. Guys wanted to play with manning cuz they knew it'd give them a fantastic shot at a championship. With mahomes, every one of the stars (outside of Tyreek hill) have all taken a little less than they could have got elsewhere to stay and play with him. These kinds of players are not only supremely talented and can raise the game of their teammates, theyre also cultural cornerstones for franchises. I'm glad my team has him!

He was on such a different level, calling audibles, and the only QB in over 30-40 years to truly call his own plays. I see a lot of that in Mahomes as well. Great guy, smart player, and on a different level so every play of every game is something to watch. Plus Pat is a fellow Texan (Actual Texan, not the poor excuse for a football team we have) so I'm always going to pull for him. @@chiefmac88 Good luck with that. The Bears have a way of ruining QBs. And unless Fields gets his passing game going better, the Bears will end up trying to use a high school/college type option offense. It won't end well for the guy.

I found your channel by accident and due to your chemistry, the absolute fun you bring to the channel, obvious love you have for each other, your family, your teammates and the game... You've sparked my interest in football again.. Your channel is one of my top three out of all the various channels I sub too.
