This is really one of the videos that do not get "old" or "outdated". There is so much knowledge and enthusiasm - and it's really a reference point video for me regarding vintage 1675. The 1518 is a pretty nice bonus ;)

Love this episode. Love hearing about vintage pieces. I will never attempt to own anything vintage but always interested in high horology. Had an opportunity to handle a few vintage high end watches and they are beautiful. Easily breakable as well!!!

Interesting that the year 2100 is not a leap year, due to a quirk of the Gregorian calendar, which screws up perpetual calendars. My understanding is that to be a leap year, it would also have to be a leap century, i.e. divisible by 400, not just by 4. So likewise 1900 is not a leap year either.

Talking about bezel inserts on the Subs. Isn't it obvious that the bezel insert has been changed? I mean usually the bezel itself will carry dings and scratches that match up with those on the insert. Surely a serious collector will know that the insert comes from a different watch.

I’ve been learning as much as I can about all type of watches. I understand why white gold watches never carry the price tag as others. But why does a steel watch go for 12 million and a gold watch is 500k even the rose gold cost goes for more then the gold watch?

There's only really two good looks for a Rolex when a brand new out of the box and when they've been really well worn. For some reason when I see a lot of character with them they seem more attractive 32:11

We have seen stainless steel 1518 one week ago in addis ababa. We tried to buy it, but unfortunately sold to someone.
