not because of the patch, but because of the breakdown you guys did simplifies it so much for me

This giving everyone cover for their weaknesses has been the design philosophy since 7.00 introduced talents and neutral items and later Shards. Back then we played a hero and we built items to cover the hero's weakness, weighing up the cost/benefit for all items because you had limited resources (gold/slots). Neutral items gave an extra slot and an extra item for free; talents gave a second way to cover weaknesses. Look at things like Undying's Grab Ally, Ursa's Earthshock jump, Clinkz Barrage, Rubick Lift Shard; heroes can now do things that they didn't used to be able to do: Undying is now a save hero, Ursa can now farm, Clinkz can now farm, Rubick can now save. Every hero has been smoothed over for years now, it's just recently kinda hit a tipping point.

The circling abilities added to luna and beastmaster are just there as early proof of concepts for a zephyr import. /copium

I think if you contextualize the the change to spirit vessel as “we added an ultimate orb and removed 250 hp from the item for no increased cost” you understand how insane the change was. I read it and was instantly confused, baffling change

I love how I watching this and listening too all the interesting changes and how they may affect the game there is that little toxic comment in the game client that phrased a little better would give help and understanding not have negative feeling to those who haven't played in a while.

Tidehunter's new shard is exactly the same as a warcraft 3 ability from the mod Eve of the Apocalypse; Twilight. The concept is EXACTLY THE SAME

it sucks what they did to snap. she was in a really cool place where she could buy greaves then build force staff into pike around the time she was getting the little shredder talent so you were like a tanky ranged hero with some damage. it was really nice as a 4 or 3 that filled a lot of niches. you also still had the crazy ult. feels like valve just hates fun on this hero

so i was testing the call of the wild hawk with enchantress aghs, the hawks does get the aura buff of "Little Friends" ability but the hawks doesnt attack anymore during its duration. is this supposed to work or a bug with the interaction

Does anyone ever get spam/scam calls to their cell phone? Sometimes I just try and talk to them about dota patch notes until they hang up. It surprisingly works well and is entertaining to boot. Cheers friends.

If memory serves (it might not) Omni OD combo was the straw that broke the camels back for repel back in the day. Also sunsfan's math on PA ult rework is slightly off (it's 20% chance to get a buff that makes your next attack crit so its not exactly 20% chance to crit) but its still an overall higher chance to crit. Agreed with Synderyn on hero identity. I like it when heroes are very specialized and lacking in necessary tools or otherwise less optimized. Willow was the big one for this for sure, that's a huge buff but is just kinda boring. My suspicion for spectre is that its actually a buff just because the cooldown is so much shorter so you can get involved more often earlier and without needing the aghs, freeing up your item build. Of course you will still want aghs, because haunt is so good, but I think letting spectre be more active pre-aghs will compensate.

What's terrifying with aghs heart necro is having an ally like Pudge, Jugg, or Naga, with an Elder Titan! The damage multiplies way too much AND the enemy doesnt wake up from sleep!

Yeah QW voker was not very good last few patches, the lane sucked because no dmg, which meant you had to make more plays early. They buffed the spells for QW but the problem was the lane. Now because universal you can lane as QW, which makes it playable again.

bane was literally picked once in dota pit 2017 as a core and noone went 3/3/5 on it; yet it was picked "8 to 10 times as a core" and "noone went crazy on the hero that game but vp threw that one".

i think as the game grow bigger and new things got added to the game the old functionality of the spells was just too underwhelming like shaman hex for example,with talent neutral items , so many creeps to farm hence items getting online sooner,every spell needed an additional power up to have viability thats why there is so many random things that random heroes can do like the tusk buff

I dont like the way sk is evolving. Haha sandstorm strong brr is less fun than the in&out sand spirit gameplay. I liked the old aghs 1000x more

Sk got me from guardian to immortal. Even when he was the worst hero on the patch, he was the best hero😢😢😢
