Yes, the chest thing feels shit as a consumer. With the BP the WK arcana was originally featured in, if you played a lot, you could spend $100-150 and get everything in that Battle Pass including the QoP and WR arcanas

The Solar Crest nerfs are fine because it dials it back to a support item, I can take not having the move speed on selfcast and the manacost as long as the enemy isn't compelled to rush 3 or 4 of them

The way the Frostivus chest works makes items be overpriced in the market too. The Diretide chest worked pretty much the same way, and to this day some of the least popular Tier 3 items like the Bane Head, the Grim Head and the Omni Shoulders are way more expensive then they would be if they were sold in an Immortal chest. The price of the key keeps the price of T1/T2 at around 1/2 and 2x the key price, then every tier stays at about 5x because of the trade up mechanic.

When i saw this new tower range indicator i liked it a lot cause it lookes incredibly awesome, but after playing few games i wanted it off because it's too massive of an animation and it further messes up the screen that is messed up from too much 'big" animations from all the immortals and arcanas. As for "skill ceiling" it's just people not actually think about stuff. Things like that barely affect good players and players that already know the game enough, but they do make it much easier for new players and very bad players to learn the game faster.

I think the reason they have to do chests and keys this way is to work around China's (?) gambling laws or something. If it was the chest directly you would have to give the odds of winning in the chest because the product you buy has RNG in it. With this system you basically buy a guaranteed item or product with the key(s) which has no RNG. Even though you only open an RNG product with these keys, the initial product is guaranteed with no RNG so it doesn't fall under the gambling laws of China, I think. That was what I remember back then in Hearthstone but I don't know if this is true still or not.

List what you got with the free key/chest? I got the tier 3 alchemist one (the bad tier 3, sadge) - I'm not buying any keys.

I also never bought keys for chests. Always felt shit and will always feel shit.

Synderen is wrong about event game modes from valve. There was not single one game mode with effort put into it that wasnt popular. Not popular event gamemodes were only few that looked like they've been done in less than a week, like that one whith littelt map and roshan in the middle, 2 teams getting candies to fill enemies' wells. Or literally just dota with modifiers. Those were trash, obviously done with very little effort and short time spent, so people didnt like them.

I can't believe they skipped over PA who got absolutely fucked on, dropping her to 30 percent winrate lmao.

No special event 😢... valve is really milking the dota cash cow
