Fun and unique? Brawler type hero with a long range (mobility) spell, an auto attack modifier, a spell that deals damage based on your attacks and a stun. Doesn't sound at all similar to Marci, Dawnbreaker, Snapfire, Void Spirit... They are all the same man, how in the world do you think this is unique? Only the design is, this hero is like the 10th version of the same concept.

I am mostly disappointed from the lack of map changes. They only moved the bounty rune and pushed the tier 1 offlane tower forwards.

The lack of map changes recently is interesting. It's not like they don't know people have been clamoring for map changes for some time now so I'm curious as to why they seem to have no interest in changing the map since this was be the big game changing patch. If there were map changes coming any time soon it would have been in this patch.

I agree with Synd on Neutral items. They are so asinine. Both teams get the items, and sometimes games can just be won by a team randomly getting the best item for their team comp while the other team gets sub optimal items. It gives the illusion of variety and strategy, but in reality they are DOTA 2's version of runes and mastery's from LoL. They make you think you are getting more customization/variety on your hero, but in reality since everyone gets them it is a zero sum mechanic in the game. Overall they are just too random to make the game better. But it gives people warm fuzzy feelings so I guess we get to just live with them.......

agree with synd on neutral items. They still seem very artificial in how you just have a system completely outside the agency of player interactions

About cooldown reduction diminishing, the calculations don't really matter which item is taken into account 1st; as the final number will always be the same.

The instant Synderen corrected Sunsfan on "brooch", I knew we shared the same energy.

I don't like fixed timers like shard in dota. It would be a lot more fitting to have an event that enables shard. Like first tower destroyed, level 6, first blood, etc. (Same with the lane creep aggro until 5minutes into the game.)

yoooo this sounds cool, especially since every game might have a different tempo. Also you can make more interesting strategies around it (other than literally looking at the clock).

i already liked the old patch but i would appreciate some map changes, especially the stairs around rosh pit could get a change.

I think the double at 25 min items are because there are more item upgrades. Upgrading to an end-game item is pretty cost-inefficient so most of the time you would sell your Null Talismans for new item slots before upgrading to Wind Waker or shit like that. Now the decision to upgrade your Eul's/Witch Blade/Blink first or selling your Null Talisman for a new item is more real.

How do I skip to that part I want to hear

I love map changes, can't wait for the map to be new and fresh after the new update :)

You mean map changes for 7.32 or 7.33? coz i am pretty sure the next major update will be after TI again, if valve will be lazy as they are right now, the next major update will be the same date next year (Feb 2023) xd

Rain of Destiny is somewhat better on Nature's prophet like a global rain that heals and corrode armor for enemies. It seems more appropriate on him to make the map somewhat like a rain forrest.

Lina/Fiery Soul is garbage now: you have to wait for the 15s to elapse, no continuous casting to extend the effect. Once you cast your first spell, the timer starts and you can't extend it.

Shame about techies. Would've been better for them to replace blast off with his lvl 25 mine movement speed talent to just send a minefield army at your enemies. Also, the Boots of Bearing should be renamed the Bongo Boots.

there could be a chance that valve rushed the patch out just so- Russian army is busy trying out the buffed AM, and thus any military advances would be halted

Techies change hurts my soul, barely played him past few years because I transitioned to mid. But my second most played hero literally went from a hero and loved and adored since dota 1 to a hero I don't even want to play.

I used to play techies a lot when you could stack the land mines. But haven't played it in a long while because I found the most recent version boring. I, for one, welcome the changes. I like the direction they are taking him, and I think with a few more tweaks he can be on a really good spot. I think him being an active hero is a good thing for the game overall. I think they should try to retain some of the old flavour too though, and make sticky bomb more of a skill shot. They should consider allowing blast off to suicide again, for one, as that was a big part of the old techies.

It feels very strange ingame. Yesterday i watched a stream and there were two giga random neutral denies with the spells in one game which was really strange

The whole patch was so disappointing. It feels like the whole patch was basically made to buff Enchantress and Chen, and the rest of the game is pretty much the same.

yes it does. alt-hovering the spell shows something like “damage is not protected by shallow grave and similar spells”
