Pat is such a talented speaker. To break down a staged event like that is truly masterful

Pat actually straight up performed like he belonged in there. Was really surprised to see his in ring abilities. He played the 'heel' part really well, especially with the low blows, hairpull/eye claws...then starting to back away at the beginning as if he was scared and had to take a timeout. Obviously he could be better with some of the technical work, but there really wasn't too much outside of a few small things he didn't really do well (Which most of their own wrestlers with many years of experience still can't do). Sold the leg, sold the figure four leg lock.....Huge fan of Pat and used to be a huge fan of wrestling in the 90's, so haven't watched any wrestling in a long time with any actual interest. This was the first wrestling match I was actually looking forward to in a long time, and it didn't disappoint.....and for the record..........People quit putting Gronk's name in there with Pat's, yes they both played football, but Gronk is awful on the mic, and has never come close to actually doing any real work in the ring like Pat did the other night.

A lot of celeb appearances like Gronk are just there to play around. They're still the kid fan that wants to indulge in the fantasy. And I guess that's fine for some fleeting fun. But every once in a while you get a McAfee or a Rousey that take it seriously and show up for work, and it ends up paying off with impressive performances.

Dude, life-long wrestling fan here, you were so good. I hope you do more. Your promos and heel work was like...honestly elite level and you're in-ring work was super smooth and you definitely out-did yourself. Please keep it going, i'll be rooting for ya.

Pat took a Canadian Destroyer (flipping piledriver) in his first ever match. He earned lots of respect from most wrestling fans from that one spot alone.

He’s such an inspiration. I grew up watching football, wrestling, poker. Such eras blew up in that day and age. He’s out here doing stuff he actually enjoys. His work is his hobbies with people he loves being around. He’s literally living the dream.

9:29 The way that Staredown happened at the end? Proves that there is still more Story to tell.. And 2 more Matches. One at War Games. And one.... Takeover the night before WM.

This is complete honesty here. I was a jr high kid during the Monday night wars, I LOVED WCW, nWo, etc. I stopped watching once I got to high school but if Pat gets a good story line and is pushed... I'd start watching again. It was the best match I've enjoyed from start to finish in 20 years. No lie.

Didn't see the match besides your promo and some of the highlights(Swanton & superplex) but I do think you deserve praise for your ability and respect for the respect you've shown the profession.

It was honestly the match of the night. I enjoyed it more than the ladder match. That backflip off the turnbuckle and then box jumping up on top of the turnbuckle into the superplex was amazing. Amazing.

I am a big fan of yours and of wrestling and I was really rooting for something awesome and what you and Cole did was simply amazing. Don't know what your plan is going forward with it, but no disrespect to Domanic Mysterio, but of the two in ring debuts of the weekend, yours was head and shoulders more successful.
