I just have to say, for #4 at 3:40, I've seen so many comments calling Farley(#41) an idiot for not letting it roll closer to the goal line. The reason was because the punt coverage team had been so bad at downing punts before the goal line in the weeks prior. Even earlier in this game against the Bears, Mcafee dropped one that landed perfectly on the 1 yard line, and another gunner idiotically pushed it in the endzone for the touchback. So there was a good reason Farley downed it at the 4 so not to risk his idiot teammates botching another perfect punt. Just felt the need to explain that, carry on.

He was the only player to stop and sign an autograph for us. He stopped and talked to my daughter, who was 3 at the time. The fact that he actually stopped to talk to this beautiful bald 3 year old made him my all-time favorite!

Tough to get a punter in the Hall. Took Ray Guy 40-some years to get there. But McAfee deserves a bust; he brought personality to the game and redefined what it means to be a punter. He understood the game better than perhaps ANY punter in his day, and he played the position like a linebacker. He was the Colts' emergency QB, I would've loved to have seen him have to do a Tom Tupa and line up under center. I think he'd have done alright. If Danny White could do it, McAfee _surely_ could've done it.

@@1m3agle Exactly a reason that he shouldn't be in the HoF. Ray Guy has twice as many yards as Pat and Guy played 13 seasons instead of 7. And he is probably the only punter in the HoF. Pat was good when he played, but he should've played longer if he wanted to be in the HoF.

The McAfee era for the Colts was absolute gold. Love the guy. He gave us highlights, laughs, and pure entertainment.

I'm so angry that I never knew who this guy was until after he had retired. What an amazing combination of personality and talent.

He did do something special. A 50-yard punt return is a success. The tackle doesn't change that, and it shouldn't even be embarrassing. Like Tybone 2222 said, 5'6''' 165. At that height and weight, his job isn't to truck people, it's to use his speed and set his team up with good field position, which is exactly what he did.

Most of them for good reason. I think it was Janikowski's fat old ass that made some half ass attempt at a tackle that made the "highlights" on SC last year or the year before. My all time favorite: As a member of the Indiana National Guard, we were ordered to bring the flag out on the field. Pat was the only player after the anthem to give all of us a high five and thank us for our service. BTW. We were 90% vets from Afghanistan & Iraq.

I love seeing Darius in the first onside kick jumping around and aq for a second in the last one

"you can do whatever you want after a punt like that" had me rolling 😂😂 kickers don't feel themselves like pat did anymore

I feel like at least 4 of Pat's best moments are on a stand-up stage.

Recovering your own kick is legendary. Give Pat credit he's always gone his own way and I really respect that about him.

I remember sitting in the stands watching no. 3 happen, and even as a Steelers fan I was smiling after that play Mr. McAffee will forever have my respect as a player and a man

He's originally from Pittsburgh/suburbs. I grew up with the the dude. Plum Borough in Allegheny county

I watch this dudes podcast religiously now. He’s got some enthusiasm and his Wrestlemania Moment was nothing short of spectacular!

I played kicker and punter in Uniball in the UK, and I can say categorically, as a Texans fan, McAfee was an icon and a hero to all of us 5 foot 7 inch special teamers who couldn’t play anywhere else

I've seen kickers and punters make tackles before, even lay guys out. Never seen one recover his own onside kick attempt. Savage.

I remember watching #3. He literally had more passing yards than the QB at that point if I remember correctly. I remember watching with my friend who wasn't paying attention and thought the QB was showboating over competing a pass lol

Absolutely like Pat McAfee, he always seems to have fun and can play. His punts are insane as he can pretty much place them where he wants.

IMHO, the best Pat McAfee moment was his call on Matt Prater's touchdown pass. Can FEEL his enthusiasm for his fellow craftsman. And that Pittsburghese, "Oooh....Touchdawn!" Said it right after the snap. Can't wait to hear you broadcasting an NFL game again.

Glad he played for the team I've loved for 30 years. His podcast is up there with the best. True comedic genius. His stand up wasn't that bad either. I'm a Pat fan through and through.
