Because Thug is so technically sound she was able to make this fun instead of ridiculous. Mitch is 6’2” and 320 lbs, and Thug is 5’5” and 115lbs. Mitch is an elite Strongman and very agile, which makes it even more of a mismatch. Thug is so talented that I truly believe she would arm bar most men as big as Mitch because she knows how to use their size against them. What I love about her is how she was never in awe of such a powerful man. She honestly felt that she could submit him, but he is a good athlete and not easily submitted. This was indeed enjoyable because they never went all in and kept it loose. I have seen Thug fight multiple times and she is badass. I wish her much more success in MMA.

Imagine this movie being called "Thorns of Resilience," which introduces a touching coming-of-age story with intriguing characters, each dealing with their own struggles and motivations. Fighting off injustice, bullies, evil, ignorance and family and ofc the Mr.Evil character that haunts her past, while dealing with the roughness and despair of the life she lives. It ends with a gradual MMA integration, showing intense training sequences and eventual fight scenes while she battles the world and her own sanity. I mean, I'd like to watch this movie :]

Rose is one tough, impressive chick. You are talking about one of the strongest humans on the earth with extraordinary grip strength, who is twice her size putting a death bear hug on her…none of us can have any idea of what the power of a Strongman feels like. She only had technique to go with and she made this fun to watch instead of a joke. I feel bad for the women in MMA in her weight class.

Rose if you see this I'd offer you free high level stretching advice (fix that weakness you noticed about your legs). I really like the way you and Pat both think. I never forget the interview where Pat said his girlfriend Rose was the real one to watch, low and behold he predicted her success and I'm a huge fan for both. Matter of fact I'm about to go search up a Pat Berry leg kicks highlights.

Reminds me of when Brian Shaw rolled with Dustin Porier for a bit and even tapped him just with his weight (I'm still hoping that one day Brain will be on the JRE and roll with Rogan. This is interesting, some strongmen are such great versatile athletes, beyond static lifters. Honestly the UFC heavyweight division in just a year or two will be up for grabs. Jones and Stipe are about to retire and that division has mostly just been dominated by strikers. A guy with size and strength and athleticism and wrestling could do well. Of all the divisions it's by far the easiest for the least experienced and least well-rounded to get into. Getting down to 265 wouldn't be that hard, I mean Brock walked around at 280 and cut it easily.

The scariest part is he’s also athletic and agile not just huge. Like Brock lesnar type genetics .

people in bjj (and mma) risk getting heelhooked and kneebarred like I've heard Rousimar Palhares for example has done things to people's knees with heelhooks like Frank Mir kneebarred Lesnar and Lesnar was mad that the ref took as long as he did to stop the fight. I think Mitchell himself says he gets a lot of strength from his legs (for strongman competitions)

Mindblowing. I know Pat's a striker, but still he was a legit UFC HW and after the first 30 seconds I could tell he was definitely trying and could not get anywhere. Mitchell is simply too big & strong. Brian tapped Dustin, Thor broke Gunnar's ribs - size matters folks.

3:31 When I was in the Marines a fellow NCO, who was absolutely massive, choked guys out with raw strength so many different ways. One of the times was a bear hug. He just squeezed and the LCpl's eyes nearly popped out and in a few seconds he was unconscious.

At this sort of strength difference it's funny how something basic like just getting a bear-hug on someone becomes a legit submission move. Cruuuush!
