Baking is a tough job - have to be at work at 3am and such, day in and day out. This is part of my 3 part series for CreateTV. One of the recipes is healthy, the other two are... indulgences!

I live in Miami and make pasteles all the time. I was SHOCKED when I saw you were making them. So awesome! I had no idea you had Cuba in your blood.

Oh yeah - the ones you get at bakeries are sorely disappointing with the little filling!

At first I was like.....Omg....Dennis has cracked the code on making keto puff pastry. Wahhhhh 😭. But seriously, thank you for sharing a snippet of your family history. There is a company here in Canada called Vachon and they make this puff pastry treat with a sweet raspberry and sweet whip cream centre...... ohhhhhh so yummy. Now if we really could solve the puff pastry for low carb, I would be dancing yeah! 🎉🎆

I know! The puff pastry is... a very elusive beast (for now). I really think with the right amount of gluten and some other ingredients, we might be able to do it. BUT lets be honest - real puff pastry is already a PITA to make!

In Brazil, we also have a tradition of eating guava with cheese! I'm living in Canada, and recently I found guava paste here! I will try your recipe for sure! Thank you for helping diminish my homesickness! :)

It's a very unique fruit. Just be aware that guava paste is nothing like real guavas!

Nice! Happy Thanksgiving! I’m staying on the wagon this week so I’m researching all the improvements to psfm bread. If it taste eggy, I’ll gag, lol. Indigo Nili has a vid showing what she changed so I’m ordering some egg powders.

Just made these for my family this morning and they were a hit! I noticed the recipe card shows 350 on the oven but I went 425 as you showed in the video and they were perfect! Thanks for a great brunch h item!

@@BlackTieKitchen Its deliciouse English fare, there is both Steak And Kidney in a thick gravy encased in a beef suit casing. The whole lot is steamed with a linen cloth tied over the top. I just dont have the skills to make one with out wheat flour:(.

Maybe. Although, i feel like it might leave you dissappointed. There ARE lower carb guavas that are pretty good, but they have a ton of pectin, so you just have to account for those carbs
