Money well spent! I think these are a great choice for anyone wanting something that sounds good and is reliable. I purchased a used pair of these back in late 2013. Got the speakers and a set of 15' Hosa cables for $400. One of the first things i did was take them to a local shop and have them sprayed with "Gatorhyde" bed liner. I have done over 350 events with them and they are still going strong. I've used a QSC gx5 for the last several years and it is a great match. Sometimes simple is better. I liked these so much I purchased a powered set with a sub about 5 years ago. In less than 3 years both tops had quit, and now the sub is gone. I have had similar issues with other powered speakers. I've now gone back to all passive. Some of it dating backl to the 90's and still kicking week after week.

Thanks for your review. You mentioned you would buy something else as stage monitors, which ones had you in mind?

I'm keeping an eye out for some used Yorkville's as they often pop up for less than $100 each, but may end up going with some new Wharfedale's.
