Any time I send something my hope is that it will be of great interest, I'm glad this was! I enjoyed your look at it and comparison with the BCP, you dove into it more than I was able to. I learned some (gruesome) Ohio history as well.

Interesting. The only Book I had seen with a "Passion week," is my old Lutheran, Common Service Book with Hymnal, from 1918. It has 'The History of the Passion of our Lord,' with 7 readings from the gospels. The instructions say that it "may be read as the Lessons at Matins or Vespers during Holy Week, beginning with Vespers on Palm Sunday. Or, it may be read during Lent, and repeated during Holy week." No citations of scriptures, but it begins with John 12:1. The readings appear to be a blend of the gospels on the Passion of Christ. In the section on Introits, Collects, and Graduals for the seasons of the church it gives gospel readings OR, The History of the Passion for each day of Holy week.

I forgot to add that those who use the 1928 American BCP may call it Palm Sunday without being heretics ;-)
