I'm currently getting my masters in Paris and meeting people from all over the world and it's funny how the drinking games you guys talked about exist in a lot of other countries but just under different names. After playing these games during undergrad in the US it's really funny to see that people from England, Germany, India, etc. also play the games we played - drinking culture is universal lol

The BEST drinking game is Thumper! It starts with a chant, going to a slow beat of the group tapping the table. Then, the first person makes up a hand sign, passes it on to someone else by looking DIRECTLY at them (no talking allowed), each consecutive person needs to repeat all symbols, make up theirs, and do it in exact order up until each turn. The beat speeds up, people start slamming the table harder, eye contact intensifies, and it ends so quickly that you get sooo many rounds in before people quit. It's the best in the middle of a big party with a huge group, and an audience!

I'm such a Mike and Carly! Never partied in High School really. Wish I would have though!

As someone who grew up in buffalo, NY you always went to Canada for your 18th birthday haha that's just what you did. My group of friends waited for the last of us to turn 18 then we all got a hotel room and stayed in Canada for the night. The one good thing about growing up here..

1:09:05 100% to this! My parents were super relaxed about partying, I personally had no interest in it. I always wondered if that was because my parents didn’t care. My sisters were VERY rebellious and my parents also enforced more strict rules with them.

I know none of them have kids but honestly the parents that allow their kid’s very underaged friends (13-17) to drink at their house are fucked up. I think Erin and Matt will change their minds about their friend’s parents once they have a teenager.

I just don't get it, never have...drinking can be enjoyable to loosen up but getting destroyed is just a waste of time that you can't get out of, you're just stuck in it until it all finally wears off. I know alcoholism runs in my family, so I've never once been able to feel like I could just give up control and think everything will be fine on the other end. The rare times when I was younger that I would get trashed were just failures to ride the line of a good buzz into the bad decisions to push the limit. Plus, having now watched someone go through severe alcoholism (in recovery for a bit now, fingers crossed its permanent) it just destroyed the last shred of enjoyment I can take from anything more than a couple of drinks now and again.

It’s so funny to me hearing Erin use phrases that I think are normal but then when everyone else is completely confused I realize it’s a New England thing… like i genuinely thought 30 rack was a universal term lol

I’m Irish and I fucking love Guinness. I swear it runs through my veins and when Matt said he can drink 10 Guinness I was literally DUMBFOUNDED. One pint of Guinness is like a 3 course meal, how are you not soooo full after that? I can just about do 5 maybe 6 pints.

i had a fake ID all through highschool . took the photo with a bunch of makeup making me look “older” and i was 15 ! used it up until i turned 21 with not a single issue . now that im 21 and use my ID and sometimes i have to show my PASSPORT they think its fake . ive showed credit cards , even my birth certificate , and they still think its fake . ts is ridiculous 🤣

The first time I ever drank, I was 15. My dad's girlfriend had broken up with him, and two weeks later my boyfriend broke up with me, and we were both absolutely miserable. We went to a Christmas party and my dad said to me, " we are both heartbroken, you don't know how to help me, I don't know how to help you, so deal with it like I do" and he gave me a cup of Malibu and Dr Pepper. I proceeded to get shit-faced.

I never had a fake ID, I would just show my real ID while I was under age to get in to bars. The bouncers never checked the birthday unless you looked really underage, so luckily it always worked out for me.
