It’s nice to see Matt in an environment where he can have intelligent conversations. Like it’s cool to see his stories/experiences being celebrated rather than seen as annoying or made fun of.

I went to Auschwitz-Birkenau in November of 2017. I urge everybody to visit. It was the darkest and hardest think I've ever seen (I'm from the UK so modern war history is a huge part of our history education). Our tour guide was the niece of a prisoner, so it was absolutely harrowing to be shown the room he was kept it. It's sometimes hard to remember that this wasn't a movie, it was very much real life and experiences like this make that hit home.

I'm gonna be honest, when you guys initially announced this podcast I was super excited because I love all of you and together even more. So I listened to the first one and I obviously loved it, but when I realized that each one was going to be on certain specific topics I was a little skeptical, just because I normally listen to "what happened this week? Here's a random thing I wanted to talk about." type of podcasts, and when the second one came out i thought "I'll listen to this in the background and we'll see" but within a couple of minutes I had left my phone aside and was genuinely invested on hearing your opinions about the topic, and it has been that way every week since then. You all are genuinely interesting, intelligent and all around funny, I can't wait for the next podcast ❤️ A lot of love from Mexico 🇲🇽🥰

I agree with Matt about the whole Spanish and French learning, it can be confusing. I’m Mexican so I grew up speaking Spanish and when I was learning French in college I had an easier time learning French because there were many similarities in the language to Spanish but at the same time it was confusing at times because many things sound the same and I sometimes got confused speaking it by blending both of the languages together in sentences. I didn’t even realize I was doing it until I was being told 😅😅

Erin mentioned that she is learning French. There is a free video course available on KZread that was developed at Yale. The name is "French in Action" and it has numerous Ivy League graduates talking about how good it is. Maybe it would be a good companion to what she is already learning.

I’m from northern New Mexico. Very small town like. We had a genocide education class. We were taught about different genocides throughout history with a big focus on the Holocaust. We read MAUS and Night. At the end of the course we were able to visit the Holocaust museum in DC. Such an unforgettable and important class.

My scariest vacation was when a friend and I went to Bali back in the 90s. We were 19 or 20yo and we were meant to keep our boarding passes that we got from Australia to Bali for our trip home but we forgot and packed them in our suitcase. We get to the airport in Bali which is full of armed soldiers, they don't speak English and we didn't speak enough Balinese. We got escorted into a little office and had rifles pointed at us and we were, I assume, being interrogated, we understood a word here and there. Luckily we found our boarding passes in our cases, they yelled at us some more then shoved us out of the office and escorted us back to where we were meant to board our plane back home...it was terrifying!

Y'all are so cute and clueless. You have been to these places. And have no idea what they're about. And then when you talk about them on your podcast. You ask questions about your experience. I would think that you would have the answers considering that you were there. Other than that we would look that s*** up on our own. There's a few KZread channels that you should check out . You should probably start learning how to keep water. Because it's going to be pretty scarce. And also maybe start a in home garden. I'm so thankful that I am a tea drinker.
