Q1. The 6h8h is a likely hand you had. It had an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw making sense to commit to the pot, Plus it's your kind of hand. I think he had AJ or A7 and put u on set.

I agree. The route of calling down without raising when he gets more outs at each street makes the most sense to me. I couldn’t see him playing 77or 88 that passively. Especially with 88 I would expect a re-raise at the turn to see where he’s at before the pot gets too inflated at the river and he has to make a difficult decision with middle pair.

Hey Daniel, love your lessons and videos! My guess for the first quiz is you have gone with hand number 2. To go in order, since your range and position, you could betting with all of those hands, but I believe if you had the first hand, you would not go through a 3- bet. And whatching you for quite sometime, I believe you would gain slighlty more value with the third hand and be more aggresive after the flop. That's my humble opinion anyway, and I'm curios hope you would answer soon:) And for the second question, I would say you have Ah3s, becuase I think you would not leave the flop un-betted with being in position at the time. If the question was whether the hand is Ac3h or Ah3c, I think it would be much easier :) Probably you would explain your reasons and we will go "Ohhhh... makes sense"

I'd be interested in you talking a bit about acceptable bust out situations where you make decent/good plays, end up pushing all in and getting beat but you knew before you jammed that you would be ok with a few obscure hands having you bested? I think learning how to accept losing goes a long way towards winning in poker.

Hey Daniel, love the content. This may not be relevant, so correct me if I am off, but I think some context on the players you are facing when you want us to guess the hand you have would help. I think the A3o hand made a lot of sense, but without knowing much about the CO player in the first example, it is a little bit more tricky to figure out. Does he check raise often, obviously he can have a lot of JX in that calling range in the CO so I understand your bluff in theory - it makes perfect sense. With GTO more prevalent now days, do you even factor that into your play?

13:30 if you're not bluffing ever in a spot where you can be busted, that both reveals that you have a value hand when you bet in bust spots And reveals you're bluffing more frequently in spots where you can't bust, because you still have to keep your bluff percentage high It's a mistake I've made a lot

Second hand is Ah3s probably because Ah3h wants to bet flop in position as it can make more nuts. Ah3s is content to take another card and keep ranges weak where Ace High might be the best hand if it checks through. First hand I'm not sure. But maybe QhTh because it blocks hands SB or BB could squeeze with.

I think check/call or check/ship the 99. He’s going to be floating a decent amount on that flop I think we are more or less committed to the pot but that allows him to bluff or bet a smaller pair and protects your over card Cbet check/fold turn range

id say pocket 7’s. opponent was probably shooting for the flush (or was bluffing on it), daniel calls making it seem like he either A has it or B has some sort of pair leaving the opponent to run dry on a high card w no pair. turn comes making it J 7 4 9, he checks and then calls after the bet is made possibly shooting for 7-J straight or a flush, river comes K of spades daniel bets he folds.

Guessing your hand, I'd say you had 2 hearts just because I know you bet straight and flush draws aggressively. And with trip 7s, you don't let opp see the turn without a big raise. And you raise big when your draw doesn't hit. It was probably Q-10h. Q-10h jives with your play, the big raise after the turn, flush and straight draws. I'm curious what he had that he hung on to the end to fold. Hearts? 2 pair? It had to potentially be good to call you.

i like this. i was thinking he might’ve had pocket 7s and decided to play flop slow since there was a possible flush, then once the turn hit 9 of diamonds, he checked then called daniel’s bet willing to take it to the river only to find K of spades making triple 7s the best

In my opinion pocket 7s. I don't think you would call the raise under the gun with 68, maybe with qt. After that the call to the flush draw was reasonable, because of pot odds, 17Against 35 But after he checked, I don't think you would raise that much pot size if you had a draw to be completed on the river. You would check, or bet pot odds. Even with implied odds, I think the bet was too high for queen ten. Therefore, I think it was the 7's.

I think you had A3 offsuit in the second hand. Most of this video has been you showing off bluffs and knowing you block the nuts gave you the big overbet. If you actually did have the nuts, an overbet that large should scare off a good opponent since he likely already had a flush but one that wouldn't pay that price. If you actually had the nuts you would want to bet no larger than a pot size bet I feel.

15:30 its difficult because you said you were bluffing a lot in this tournament anyways. I don't think you'd do anything except raise big if you flopped the set, so I'll eliminate that. You were raising a bit too much to risk a stack that big with a low card flush draw. I think you were going for the q 10 hearts equity and raised turn and flop to match your previous pattern of bluffing ridiculously. I also think if your opponents folded you would have shown the hand to throw them off. If you're gonna stick to bluffing you might as well put up an honest front when you have the chance

I'm no pro, but if you think about it from a probability perspective, with 3 clubs on the table, and no clubs in your hand, the probability he has 2 clubs is 10/47*9/46 = 4.2%. If you have a club in your hand, the chance he has 2 clubs is 9/47*8/46 = 3.3%. Essentially, all blocking means is that there are less cards that are good for your opponent because you have one in your hand, making it less likely they have a good hand.

Well that was fun. The last hand is why trying to trap with trips can blow up. You raise post flop and you know he has trips or a high pair or 4-5. You try to trap and suddenly there's a flush draw, Qs, and you don't know what he's calling you with. You both trying to trap each other, lol. It could have just as easily been you with trip Qs busting him, lol.

Why going all in was a big mistake. He has a flush draw, checks, you raise, he calls. He hits the flush, checks...you should know it's a potential trap as he now has confidence you're pushing nothing and will at least raise. A raise would have been ok, but all-in was a horrible move. Being predictable allows easy check-raises from opps. Also, he appeared weak so he knows you're likely to just make a value bet if you have something, an all-in is a sure sign you're trying to steal it.
