i was at the poker table and a guy randomly mentions "i've been watching Brad Owen, that guy is funny and has great vids about poker" to which i responded, "i just found him and i am about halfway thru his videos".....a long convo started from there and its very cool bro, keep up the good work!!
7:38 i really like how you changed it up and said "we got top 2 playa" threw me off....... smooooth
Great video Brad. I really appreciate the fact that you explaining hands that didn't go your way. Take care!
@16:42 The flop comes 7 7 7 with two diamonds….LOL. Love how sneaky your comedic timing is…
Nice job. I appreciate the way you explain your thought process in how the hand plays out.
out of all the vloggers I like the way you play the most. I also really like the way you analyze your hands. Its very informative. keep it up. thanks
I love the dry humor. Great vlog!
Long time Cash Game Pro from Switzerland here: usually don´t comment on yt Videos much but wanted to chime in to say how i appreciate your Vlog Brad. Love the Self Irony with things i can relate to so well at times. We are all Humans doing bad stuff at times and you certainly keep it real on here. Thx and Good luck :)

Hey man, thanks for taking the time to comment. I always like hearing from other people who play for a living. The whole goal of this to show people what it's actually like to day in and day out. That obviously entails making mistakes and trying to learn from them. I'm going to have to visit Zurich at some point. Pictures of Switzerland look amazing. Good luck to you too!
More episodes like this! Very good job bro / Poker fan from Sweden
It was great seeing and chatting with you at TSR! I caught you as you were ready to leave. Great video and hand explanation. I play 3/300 and have considered trying 3/500. Looks like good action. Give a heads up when you return, maybe get in a game with you!
Flop comes 7 7 7 two diamonds. Lol thanks for the video. Cheers to run good.
I find myself clicking the call button in hands that I know I am beat in as well. Big leak in my game, nice to know I'm not the only one... lol
Another great video! Your hand review and commentary are fantastic! Thanks Brad!!!

Thank you very much!
great vlog man. you seem such a nice guy as well. it's a refreshing change to other egos and makes it strangely all the more watchable. that penthouse suite looked a lot of fun. it's great how you can have these meet ups and enjoy a social afterwards. i don' t think some of the players from the cash games i've been to could be social with each other afterwards! i'd love to join these meet up games but i'd get slaughtered, and I'm a few too many miles away!
Nice to see you out in AZ we love poker out here
Great Vlog. Keep going Brad. Love them all.
Awesome advice Brad! Thank you
One of your best videos and really like the format.

Thanks man!
I like the many hands style!
Definately misplayed that A8 hand. Obviously should have 4bet jammed preflop. #maxvalue
Happy to like all vlogs so that the west gate can see their reach. Would be great if you put up your playing in advance, perhaps on Twitter, as it gives us food for thought to make plans to travel for these games. For instance I’m in Vancouver and Seattle is down the road, but I would need to plan for work and kids etc.
Oh man, you just happen to be coming to Denver the one weekend I'm out of town. MSPT is here Nov 1-11, maybe a return trip is in order?
are you ever going to come to Par-A-Dice in Peoria IL? only have 1/2, but i love your vlogs and you :)
Nice vlog Brad my buddy lives near the talking stick ! I’ve been there a few times too on visits it’s a nice poker room Gl mate

Good to see you up to old tricks
I’m curious do you look at your red line over sessions like these where you bleed chips over hours?
Brad, hit me up the next time you come into Az. I live here and would love to play with you man. Enjoy your blog, keep grinding.
Good one vlog 👍
Enjoyed you going over all those hands but you picked the wrong day it seems! :) Hearing about that many hands on the day you crushed it would have been even better. Glad you had fun and thanks for the vlog.

Haha yeah I wish I would've recorded the second day. Oh well :/
U inspired me to get my game to the next level. Im starting to want to play alot more often. Is there any books you recommended? I heard you say Dan Harringtons book was good. Any others?
When were you at Talking Stick? I might have walked right past you. Haha home casino at the moment.
Your opponent was a donkey for calling you with AQ offsuit with that board.
can you explain why you often switch tables?
@zZmiLLi

Only answering because nobody else did even though it's a 9 month old comment. I think the reason he does it is because he plays in a lot of meetup games that he puts on and wants to give as many players as possible a chance to play with him, and maybe more so to get on the VLOG. That's just my guess.
Why would you fold A6 suited in early position? Even if someone raises to 20 or so I think it's a good enough starting hand if it's not more than 30 and in early position.
Looking forward to meeting you when you come to Denver!
7 7 7 with two diamonds hahha
The hand where you had 10J of diamonds and flopped middle pair with the flush draw, don’t you think it’s better to check raise on this spot? Or would you consider betting the turn instead of checking after you also turned the open ended straight draw?
Dang, wish I'd known you were coming to AZ, I'd invite you to my home game. Sorry that my hand(Ace Ten) didn't work out for ya, but it is MY hand, lol. Good job on booking a big win and getting to play at Talking Stick before it got flooded. They had to evacuate during the AZ State Championship, basically cancelling it and I've only heard rumors that it may resume at the end of the year.
Top 2 playa😂😂😂😂
Come back to florida!!!! We'll go fishing in some 2-5 tables
Yo....I've seen about half your videos....Great stuff....
Love you're videos would be cool to hangout play some poker and have some beer with ya but I usually play at near Sacramento
I hope you got a chance to play some daily tournies while you were there, they have some good ones.
See ya at Redbird's!
good episode
What poker books do you recommend reading?
Keep the great work! Nov 22 - Dec 3 WSOP Harrah's Cherokee NC. Come play, brother!

Thanks man. I'll look into it!
Great video Bradley. Maybe you can check de river when you had JdTd for induce a bluff. There are 2 possibles straight on board and you are 3 players so i think check is better. (sorry for my English).

Only two opponents. People are going to be worried about the flush getting there so I don't like checking it.

How do you remember all of the cards on the board when uploading your video?
Great vlog. Talking stick rocks.
7:39 was that Snoop? How did you get Snoop on your show?
I live DT Chicago so If you’re ever in town let us know👌
Do you ever add tips in your poker tracker? I always default and put $10 in there, just curious
@BradOwenPoker

No, I don't really see how it helps to enter that in separately.
How do you not raise the flop with JdTd on KdTx4d?
Missed value with the j10diamonds hand imo. I think you should bet turn with that much equity, around 75 to 85. Nice video tho! Always fun to watch

hi everyone, i am just a bit confused at 6:17 when Brad says ‘other than a pair of kings nothing else will make sense.
9:05 that's must have felt great huh lmao
Damn you run good wish I can get cards like that
@BradOwenPoker
5 жыл бұрын
Haha I ran pretty well in the beginning. I played for 8 hrs and 40 mins total and cut out the 4 hrs when I missed everything. There's nothing really to show from that part of the session except that last A5cc hand.
Yassss
Nice video
I hope you get back to Talking Stick soon
Hi Brad Did you have any side effect after the surgery ? ( removing the tonsils , correct ?)

It’s on the other side of the country but so what. It would be cool.
👍🏽
The 2-3hh hand I hate your button call knowing it’s going to be 5 way to the flop. To me it’s a fold or 3 bet pre
@10:40, Feels pretty mandatory to check river. If you're justifying calling the turn than it's because you feel like he can have a bluffing range, not because you like your chances of binking a 3 outter. @5:00, I wouldn't feel too bad about paying off since she showed up that polarized. If she's capable of value betting 5x/7x than your call would feel more incorrect. Love the roasting of Jake.
Talking Stick has been closed for several weeks due to damage from a violent rain storm. It's even possible that they may not be able to reopen the casino or hotel. All of the Phoenix poker action is now at Wild Horse Pass
@BradOwenPoker
5 жыл бұрын
Yeah that would be absolutely terrible. I really like it out there.
@jetzzfan
5 жыл бұрын
Yeah. There's going to be an update in a week or so. I think it's a nice room, but I usually play at Wild Horse because it's closer, and runs the 1/2-100 game which is the one that I feel most comfortable with based on my current skill level.
Why at 8:19 would he just call with a J high flush he is only losing to a straight flush and a king or queen flush
RIP Talking Stick Resort
Damn if he can win @ poker I sure heck can.
Gotta bet that A8
How do you get all these good hands. I’ll play for hours and get sqadoiche.
@BradOwenPoker
5 жыл бұрын
Haha I played for almost 9 hours. I ran great the first half of the session and then didn't get much to work with the second half.
@FocusedAndMotivated100
5 жыл бұрын
Oh ok. I’ve had entire sessions where I’m card dead. But I’ve also had sessions where I’m hitting everything and can’t loose if you paid me too. I much prefer those type of sessions. Cause being card dead is just boring. Who wants to fold for 2 hours straight. Not me.
how u getting such good hands
Talking Stick is closed right?
@BradOwenPoker
5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is closed right now
Brad, hit me up next time you do Phoenix. Would love to meet you and take your chips lol. Although, the way I’ve been running lately it will be the other way around. Take care and good luck on the felt.
