You may think this guy is restoring the car with new panels and paint, gas, lots of Amps and a MiG welder. He isn't. This guy is restoring the car with a deep, deep love. His attitude and skill is what you would want in a surgeon if your life was on the line. And, whatever his time and knowledge costs, you could pay twice as much and get wayyyyy less for your money in the long term from other 'restorers'. I just love watching him work.

He doesn't waste one move. And he hits every point without wasting a word. This guy alone is a TV show. Brilliant man with a PHD. Of his craft!

I have watched hundreds of hours of restoration on mustangs but never any where near as thorough as this guy, his approach is methodical and comprehensive and his commentary is entertaining and enlightening, I am really enjoying his work. It’s amazing the amount of untreated sheet metal on the vehicle, I guess we are lucky now days for body treatments that add protection.

Thanks. This man is a pro. His knowledge and passion for restoration are truly amazing. Please continue to show the ongoing craftsmanship and evolution of this beautiful car. One can only hope and dream to find someone with pure talent like that for restoration.

These series of videos make a lover of these cars appreciate those Shelby's that were well taken care over the decades. But for the rest of those cars that didn't fare that well it is truly a work of art that this man is showing all of us. And it's understandable when we're told how much blood, sweat, tears, time, and $$$$$ goes in to making our favorite Marque come back to life before our eyes. Tremendous job.😊

What impresses me about your restorer is his willingness to talk. So many geniuses are broody or just plain inarticulate. One day your video of this process will be priceless. Jason is a true artist. Fascinating content.

He is right about the NOS parts. I worked at a Ford dealership in the early 80s. I use to buy 65-68 Mustangs fix and flip. I need a 65 inner drivers side apron that was connected to the front core support. I was shocked when the parts guy said that I could still order one. I also restored a 68 GT convertible. Was shocked again when I was able to order the OEM dual exhaust tips NOS. So thrilled that I ordered 1 set for a spare. Even back then they were expensive.

I hate air leaks from fittings. One of my pet peeves for years. This resto is awesome. Thanks Jerry.

Amen! I hope someone bought this guy a new air chuck for Christmas! Great video series otherwise! He is very knowledgeable!

That’s why I m a full frame kinda guy. No unibody nonsense for me. My Chevelle is all steel and rust free but with none of these concerns. I’m glad there’s guys that love to do this, because I sure don’t.

How would you like to go to work every day and truly just be doing what you love..? What an artist. Can’t imagine what the resto bill will be, but worth every penny.

You know what you're doing I worked in a body shop for 35 years that thing's going to be beautiful when you're done thumbs up to the talented people left to do this my dad had a 50 Ford and he did all the body work black lacquer it was a beautiful car straight as an arrow Flathead dual carbs LaSalle trans my dad was a hot rider before me have a great day more young people need to know how to do this but they don't seem interested

Same here, when Dan called me about this Shelby that he found I thought for sure it would not be a '67, the model year I wanted, but it was. And then when we were looking up the car's spec's in the Shelby Registry I thought this car just might be the color that I wanted, red, and it was a T-code for Candyapple Red. So, I developed a positive mindset and I might even get to buy this car, which I did. And now the car is almost restored and I hope everybody following this can get a vicarious thrill of what this is like.

Down to the bone! 😊 Then do it right without cutting corners. Impressed!

A friend of mine has 5 camaros 1967 race care mixed emotions 2 1967 street 1968 street 1969 street 2009 street He also has a 71 cuttles And 1965 Chevelle race car mixef emotion He restored all but the 09 himself. Absolutely, you bring a wealth of knowledge. Maybe you'll locate a barn find and we can go along and do a video. Just remember we need to be there before the car is disturbed.

The car is almost finished. We lack putting in the interior and engine. We need a set of 15 x 6 Ford steel rims. We need a pair of carburetors - the dual four's. My problem is I spend so much time editing the many hours of video. This part 2 took me 3 and a half weeks.

I know. That Rare Finds column that I had from the early 1990's until 2019 that was monthly in 4 different car magazines, added up to easily over 800 barn finds. This restoration turned out to be fun. We're almost done. I think Jason restores a car faster than I can edit video. Car restoration is widely misunderstood, but I don't know if people are receptive to the truth.

I love this ! You put the dot on the i !! No shortcuts ! I am in the progress of replacing the front end of my 67 fastback after a total loss. I used parts from dynacorn and used a laser and put the pieces together on a table with neccessary temporaly reinforcement.

I love to see Jason work with such skill and persistence. That media blasting is fun to watch. I hope he can use hearing protection when he is using air tools. If anyone has used air tools you will know the noise is deafening! His explanations are very helpful.

This is amazing to watch. It's a 3D chess game in sheetmetal. What to remove, what not to remove. Having restored a Swiss cheese Model T, which is a much simpler car, I can really appreciate this work.

Thanks for recognizing the work Jason has done, including his narration. This is one of my most difficult and time-consuming videos that I have ever produced, literally hundreds of hours invested in this Part 2. I like the outcome, but I have not figured out how to earn enough money to cover expenses, let alone something for my time and work.

More on the way. It just takes me more time to edit video than it does for Jason to restore. The car is done except for 428 engine and transmission installation.

Great workmanship you remind me of me i also did a Fastback for a friend of mine two years ago it took me three half years and enjoyed every hour on it and i always say patience , knowledge ,experience brings great results 👍

Not a Mustang guy, but I am a fan of faithful restoration of old vehicles. I am excited to see this particular project executed especially by this guy and the owner!

He really should be wearing hearing,eye & breathing protection more. Those problems catch up with you when you get older, and then it's too late. With that safety bit out of the way, his work is a pleasure to watch. All the factory assembly details are very interesting to learn about.

Hey thanks Donald, the restoration has been a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Jason actually restores faster than I edit hours of video.

Guessing the process isn't much faster even if he's not stopping to explain his process as he goes. Anyone wondering why projects get abandoned, take years, or see corners get cut? This is why. It takes time, money, and skill to do it right.

Wow this is an amazingly deep man whose knows his art. I could only wish that I could have a car as well done as his. But he’s a one of a kind auto artist. 💯❤️🤠

I use to build Honda Accords. I took great pride in my work. I was a hard worker. Carpel tunnel to prove it.

Thank you. I think Ford designed the '67 Shelby to resemble, in profile, a production version of their GT-40 race cars. The lower bodyside stripe is the similar, so is the flip up rear spoiler and front nose.

Jason White didn't patch anything like som do he BUILT as well and better than the original. A knowledgeable car artist.

Now there's a man that knows how to fix something the right way. A perfectionist at work. Doing everything the only way you can do anything, "always the right way." It's just the way it is, and can't be helped. If your going to do something, do it right or don't do it at all. Ask me how I know, lol. I get a kick out of those people that say "it's good enough," and it looks like something done by a child.

The tool he's using is called a die grinder! The disc attached to it is the cutoff wheel. They're so handy I have 3 different ones myself and I'm just a regular mechanic 😂
