    I like the idea of running the spike through the leg holes to help gain leverage.👍🏻

    Nice video. I like that hoist, I will definitely have one before season here in Missouri for my shop . It would make things a lot easier and a lot faster...

    Great video! Just wondering what kind of device are you hooking up to the coyote near the tail? Thank you

    I was thinking of making another coyote skinning video that shows things up close. But I use a clevis that’s attached to the base with a rope. The rope is attached to the pin and I feed it through the eye making a loop. Hope I explained it clear enough.

    You are obviously very good at this, and your equipment set up is to be coveted. But, I would have liked to have seen a close up of the first cuts on the inner back legs. I do have a question: I know there are a number of variables (large entrance/exit wounds, fur thickness, geographical area, etc.), but how much money (on average) does a descent coyote pelt bring? I enjoyed your video, and I'm looking forward to your response. Thank you.

    I’ll post a video of skinning a Marten soon and the cuts are more or less the same. Up in northern Alberta our coyotes are darker then the southern Alberta and Saskatchewan dogs. We average around $80 for our coyotes we are also battling shoulder mites and some mange in Alberta.

    Good deal. In my neck of the woods, we battle mange more than shoulder mites. I'll watch for your next video. Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

    All that green around the belly you don’t get docked for? First thing i thought of when you mentioned you let them thaw a couple days.

    It’s not bad until the hair gets loose. It smells a little but had some go a little green within a couple hrs of shooting them.

    WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT THE GREEN BELLY ?

  • @NorthernTrapper

    @NorthernTrapper

    Can’t do much with it. Just try and keep it from happening or getting worse by hanging the animal by the hind foot & lot leave it thawed to long. You can put a little Dettol disinfectant on it to kill the bacteria plus kills the smell.
