Did a little trapping this season and picked up a few wolves. It was to warm and didn’t want animals to spoil in between checks. All is well…. Might put a few videos up this summer from the winter. Thanks for checking in PopPopJoe.

It’s out being tanned currently. I don’t ship to the US. It is a bit of a pain with permits and brokers.

Jason, the Moose, Deer and Elk appreciate your work. We need to get more people out hunting them. I believe the government has a $1000 bounty on them in Idaho. I plan on going there next year

I wish there was a bounty on the wolves in my area to help with the costs. I do notice a more stable ungulate population though in the area. Hope you are successful in trapping them.

It means the red in the fur in the crouch area. If it is there there is something else starting to manifest.

Thanks good tip water on fur is such pain unless I guy has a big shop and even then a lot of extra work plus at cold temperatures hard to get rid of humidity going to give this a try.

I just watched an older vidio you did about getting some lights out snares and supports . I just got some fox coyote sized snares . I really like the support system . Got the 12” length and crimped on extensions . The only thing I’m not crazy about is the black snares . I’m lik he you and in the snow and they really stand out . Wondering what your thoughts are ?

I really like the black cable. I don’t think it stands out too much. I think it blends in well where I like to snare. It’s my go to for free hanging snares.

It's a shame those 2 wolves had mites, but at least it's 2 less predators in the area & less chance of spreading mites to others. Nice haul of dogs either way.

I tried your bait method with the tin can lid on the bait and it ties off it works great and the bait seems to not be touched by other beaver as the dead guy keeps them away from trap area so has been my experience so far. Thanks for you ideas and sharing them

How many miles or kilometers do you start your line from your cabin? Then how many miles or kilometers of trapping line do you do in a big circle or do you go out and then come straight back in? I love watching your videos I’m a jeweler and I sit at my bench and make jewelry and watch hunting and trapping videos. Thank you for the distraction.❤

Hey Aaron, hard to answer the question as things change year to year. These wolves were about 6 miles from my house. When I’m at my bush trapline I try have loops to be more efficient. My trapline is 180 square miles. Appreciate you watching and commenting. 👍🏻

The coyotes tend to like them better than the wolves but it could be there are just way more coyotes around.
