"Park Host" calls cops on me because my car hood is up; Sturdivant Park, Coquille, Oregon

The video is about a man named Travis Heinze who got a ticket from a park host for working on his car in a park.
The park host, who lives in the park and works for the Coquille Police Department, saw Travis’s car hood up and approached him. The park host told Travis that he is not allowed to work on his car in the park and called the police.
The police officer who arrived at the scene cited Travis for violating a municipal code that prohibits repairing or servicing a vehicle except for repairs necessitated by an emergency. Travis argued that he was not working on his car and that he only had the hood up because he needed to cook a chicken. However, the police officer did not believe him and gave him a ticket anyway.
The ticket states that Travis violated municipal code 10.1 two point zero four zero, which prohibits parking in a way that is prohibited. The officer explained to Travis that this means that he cannot park and work on his car, even if the car is not running. Travis argued that he was not working on his car, but the officer did not believe him.
Travis also argued that he should not be getting a ticket because he was going to cook his chicken in the park, but the officer told him that cooking is also not allowed in the parking lot. Travis was confused about the rules and regulations of the park, and he did not understand why he was getting a ticket.
I may have put the videos out of order at 10:23.

Court date 2/9/18. What do I do for this court date? Coquille Municipal Court
Are all parks that have a "camp host," who sleeps on the property, also a camp ground? I see no advertisement that these places are really campgrounds. What does the cop know about the rules for these places that is not made public?

I wasn't ever going to comment on this video, but people keep getting on Travis for responding the way he did. This is the response of a guy fed up with all the crap that goes along with just trying to go from point A to B. Constant hassle. Busy bodies and pushy cops. He is responding to the cop in the like. I think some of the negative comments are from people that eventually have changed their minds and are on his side now. I think some have seen how it really is just trying to mind your own business and some people or cops cant just let someone live their lives without interfering to make themselves feel important. How difficult is it to let someone else just live their life? Everyone of you clowns crap their pants when a cop shows up because you know a cop will find something to screw with you for.

Every single time I wear an orange shirt, I get swarmed by people asking if I’m a park host.

PLEASE PLEASE keep donating to this man. He's proving this is not a free country. I've never seen a person stopped so many times.

This interaction was surprisingly funny. The look on the cops face when you asked him for his birthdate, lol. 😂

Did I miss it? No one asked if he was having problems and could they help him in anyway. What have we become.

When you talked about cooking a chicken. I thought you were gonna pull a cooked foil wrapped chicken off the exhaust manifold. That would have been hilarious and the reason the hood was up.

It's really sickening that many law enforcement officers like to go fishing for information that they will in fact use against you.

    1. I did not ever seen him with a wrench or one even laying around. 2. The cop did not ask him if he had an emergency. 3. just because your hoot is up does not mean you have a problem or working on your car, maybe he was checking his fluid levels or heard a noise and was looking for the cause, but working on it? no

"I'm out here because you're working on your car." There's literally zero evidence of that. How is he 'working on his car' without tools, with no parts out of place, no fluids anywhere to fill anything, not even a dirty rag from checking oil? You can't just say, 'You're working on it,' and not cite what work you were doing. Hilarious watching those two get boiling mad due to their own stupidity while you ask them how they like the weather. "Are you a Constitutionalist or something?" Uhh, isn't every American citizen a Constitutionalist?

It's a pretty simple defense, did the officer ever witness you turning a wrench or other wise handling tools or having tools openly displayed in a manor that would suggest you are currently, will be, or have been working on the vehicle? NO! Then all he did was waste tax payers money and engage in fascism by enforcing corporate policy as though it were law. And, make no mistake about it all (99%) of cities and towns in America are corporations. Hence, City Ordnance is a corporate policy, NOT law.

I LOVE travis' method. Absolutely unconventional travel and audit methods. The multiple confused expressions on the officers face is incredible.

I like how you blew that cops mind at the end. That cop is so much of a square that the idea of anyone living an unorthodox life is to much for his psyche. In fact, I think the cop acts like such a square in order to cover for his own extreme lifestyle choices that he keeps hidden from the wife and family.
