Park City Short Cut Lift

Спорт

Short Cut, formally called Lookout was a 1997 Yan Triple with CTEC retrofits in 2010 relocated from Steamboat CO as Arrowhead to provide a more redundant option out from Red Pine Lodge to Lookout Peak where you can ski to the base area since the Canyons side has some weird lift setups. It also provides access to Lookout Cabin along with the Orange Bubble mid-station. The entire line is basically un-skiable since it goes down and up a canyon that Red Pine Gondola also passes over. This lift is closed on weekdays usually which is a major up setter since there are only a few lifts that directly access the Canyons Village base in a messy layout.
Short Cut got in major headlines last year because of a fatal incident of a tree falling on the highest point of the lift line between Towers 6 and 7 that resulted in the death of a PC ski patroller. The lift never reopened for the rest of the season and last summer even, many trees had to be cut down between those towers so this is the first video of Short Cut with those trees gone. This lift though however is a good part of the Park City lift system and I don't see it going anywhere for a few more years.
