So when can we expect an actual explanation. All he said was “dat does have systems to slow down the chair” well what does, you camera man just kept it on the guy and the larger parts. Show us the details and show how it actually works. I learned nothing from this video.

The tremblant staff and regular skiers are the most anglophobic, racist, and rude people ive ever experienced. Unless you speak dollarama french (aka quebec french), people treat you as if you arent a human or customer and will not even try to speak english to you. Will be going to killington, Mont Saint Marie, or Loon going forward

The first time I rode a high-speed detachable was in Crystal Mountain in WA. I loved it. My skiing days are more or less behind me now, and there isn't much that passes for skiing around here. I understand in Sugar Mtn, NC they're starting to put up detachables.

Great video I do enjoy watching skilift videos, I am a welder fabricator and I built ski lifts for 15 years, I built bottom drive stations ,top stations , towers , base plates ,ladders ,catwalks ,cross arms ,sheave train assemblies , glass houses . gear box and auxiliary motor assembly, At one time or another I built every component of a ski lift and enjoyed the challenge.

I didn't understand much because I didnt see it in action so for me to undrstand it fully, I have to see in detail the process of pinching and detaching from the cable to slow it down for people to come aboard.

Terrible explanation. All he did was say that it detaches. The video did not, contrary to the title, adequately explain and show how it works. Pointing at pulleys does not show how it works. Likewise with the system for maintaining spacing: He just says what it does, but does not explain and show how it works.

We had a grip fail at Mt. Bachelor in Oregon. It would be nice to see a more in depth video of how the grips actually work and what preventive maintenance is done to prevent any failure of the griping mechanism. Nice work on the video.

Hello Sagina1999, a new more detailed video is being planned this summer, for fixed grip lifts and hopefully detachables as well, showing summer maintenance as well as how they operate. Stay tuned.

Not a bad video. The explanation was good but it would have been better to see the actions (coupling and decoupling) in action; perhaps with voice-over. Tremblant is a wonderful experience for Western North American skiers.

Hello Stephen, thanks for your comments. The video was actually not something that was planned during our visit but was offered while filming a longer Ski Resort Tour of Tremblant. It was also filmed after the mountain had closed for the day so with limited time, and nearly depleted batteries, we pulled off what we could. Overall, it was a great opportunity we didn't want to miss and wanted to share. Thanks for your comments. You should check out our video on Snowmaking and our Tour of Mont Tremblant, which can be found on our KZread channel.
