I know I’m way late tot he party here.... but he talks of the Savage lasting 5 times as long. I wonder what he is doing to break longboard trucks. I’m hard on my gear and haven’t broken a kingpin in years.

Are Savants compatible with normal Paris baseplates assuming you swapped out the pivot cups? Also baseplate angles?

+SinnedNogara no they aren't. the savants have a new pivot that won't work with cast plates. The pivots are completely different and will not fit correctly. savant pivot cups will not fit into cast plates

Richard Kim Could you modify the pivot cups at least? I could see someone shimming them down.

Yes they are compatible! But you need to swap the pivot. There is no difference between the v2 bp and the savants bp.

This guy seems fairly dense. He doesn't pronounce savants correctly. And he does not convince me to buy them or not
