PARENTING STYLE: Raising Responsible Children.

Parenting styles are not mutually exclusive, and parents may adopt a combination that works best for their family.
Rachael Mwine And Dr Evas Atwiine have discussed the common parenting styles in this episode among which are the following:
1. Authoritarian: Strict rules, punishments, and little warmth.
2. Authoritative: Balanced approach, warmth, and clear boundaries.
3. Permissive: Lenient, indulgent, and few boundaries.
4. Attachment Parenting: Focus on empathy, responsiveness, and nurturing.
5. Positive Parenting: Encourages positive behavior, self-esteem, and mutual respect.
6. Helicopter Parenting: Overly involved, protective, and controlling.
7. Free-Range Parenting: Encourages independence, self-reliance, and autonomy.
8. Mindful Parenting: Emphasizes self-awareness, emotional regulation, and intentional parenting.
9. Montessori Parenting: Fosters independence, self-directed learning, and practical life skills.
10. Consistent Parenting: Prioritizes consistency, routine, and predictable boundaries.

I was raised with an authoritarian hand and all what Dr. Evas is saying is so true. I chose to wait to get married or have children because I needed to heal from the pain. I've had to unlearn and relearn, and can confidently say after nearly 2decades am in a healthy place emotionally, spiritually and mentally. I bless the Lord. Thank you both for this channel.

Please kindly consider a topic on raising children with autism, ADHD and any other conditions on the spectrum. It is good to raise awareness on these issues

Parents should look for knowledge about parenting positive, kind and God fearing generation and we should fight childhood trauma and forget negative parenting skills that we saw on our parents.
