Caren here from Kenya, and a bump love follower, this is by far the worst episode i have watched on Bump Love, every time the men spoke, it was rubbish, as mum of boys, i am dumbfounded, i hope one day when i get a daughter, they never end up with men raised by these two, what nonsense is this, we need to be humane to both our wives and husbands, i only wanted to listen to Bev, please dont ever subject us to such foolishness, its really appalling and disgusting mindset
“It takes a lot of guts for a man to come back home.” But my why come home when you’re not happy. And that’s not me saying this lightly. I grew up with two parent and my dad loved coming home. Kyamagelo this self importance is appalling. Funny how you side stepped the fact that the partner in question works. If you’re the alpha and she has to do her deligence does it mean she doesn’t have to contribute towards the bills? Contrary to you thought Kyamagelo, I want to take this opportunity to send shouts out to my dad, He always came home early to play with us his kids. He LOVED cooking and feeding people. My Mom did too. He would contributed towards house chores all the while taking his place as the unmistaken ALPHA in his home. My Dad loved the ground his wife walked on and thus showed all my brothers that you did have to be misogynistic to be an Alpha.

The scenario Kyamagero shared, where a woman asks her husband for permission on Wednesday to attend a wedding on Saturday, and he agrees but then drives her in a completely different direction on the day because she asked 'late'-three days in advance-constitutes emotional abuse.

Beverley thanks for standing up for women today. I think men are lost today and the guests were proof of this. Men are not ready to acknowledge that tables have turned and they have to adapt to the reality of the day. Women have adapted, they are providing in homes while still doing wifely duties while men are also providing but not realising they have to meet the women halfway. I say men are going to continue being disillusioned until they wake up to the facts of the day. I also agree with Mr. Kuteesa that we need to stop coddling men...it's why we have so many losers and drunks in our society.

This talk is both enlightening and disheartening. Bev, thanks for holding the 'no disrespect/abuse' forte for women. Kuteesa, makes sense. Men should listen to him more. I worry that for as long as men do not own up to their contribution to broken homes, it will continue. Women CANNOT be better alone. Also, we need to stay away from examples and miss the principle. Personally I feel that for the bigger part of this conversation the men were making excuses and giving justifications for their behavior blaming everything on the women.. They blamed women for being the cause of men leaving their homes.. which is not entirely true, because some women do all that is required and the men still leave Then they spoke about the women not bringing father figures after the men have left the marriages.. and there I still see an element of lack of responsibility.. because yes the marriage has ended, but what happened to co- parenting.. the father can still be present in the children's lives and the woman doesn't have to get blamed for not bringing a father figure.

Women submits to love, when u love your woman you can't fail to treat her right and once you treat her right she can never fail to respect you. You just don't expect kingship treatment yet to serve a commoners behavior. Just because you were taught to be a man doesn't mean you should be mannerless. And before you blame those single mothers for not being able to give their children there father figure upbringing,I think you should blame those men that left and never thought of their children's no matter the circumstances. Otherwise let's all opt to be better parents,if we fail as lovers or partners at least let's not fail as parents coz at the end of the day it's us that brought these children to this world and whatever happens between us shouldn't be their burdens to Carry,so we are both accountable for their future. Manuela is right too about generalizing things. Very many people have grown up in single parenthood homes, where fathers and mothers are abusive but after seeing all those things they make a decision to change the dynamic they grew up seeing
Bev was the only one who held these two men accountable & tried to call them out when they used excuses to blame women for poor behaviors displayed by certain men. Their way of thinking was super archaic & they still believe that the woman place is still in the kitchen in 21st century. Bev held fire under their feet sometimes. That’s all nice and well but truthfully the world is hard on women ie; professions, religions, society, family and this is exactly the topic of discussion bse men are not held accountable for the things they do while women are held on high standards even lack of children now if my husband is this shallow not to understand that it’s hard for women than men, then I don’t want him. Have you heard of a saying that men love bitches? Men actually love women who love themselves more bse they challenge them to a higher standard same as gold diggers. Men are just trained not to talk abt their emotions bse they don’t want to show weakness but there are so many avenues for them to address their issues/emotions just like it was years ago. Some men today as you claim have no venues to address their emotions is bse they were abandoned from childhood they broken homes and the genesis of the probably started way back from his great grand father and no matter what you the wife today can do 4 this man, it will never be enough until his address the original sin.

The topic of toxic masculinity is happening in Asia too. I’m in China and it’s all over Chinese media and the women are speaking out on their experiences. Just because you haven’t heard something, doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

Thank you Bumplove for hosting these two toxic men that are causing so much damage to the family institution! I hope this show helps to expose the danger of entrusting our children to a person like Mr Kuteesa! Other than projecting and propagating very damaging ego, what other productive advise can one get from those two? Sad that the hosts can even laugh about such pathetic submissions!

Well said…Dr( I hope) 😊😉 We can’t be laughing at this toxicity. I thought Mr. Kutesa was born again. I don’t seem to hear anything godly and his tongue and descriptions are harsh but that’s how he had decided to build his brand. Mr Kyamagero,,no words. You are trending alright. Be truthful. If it’s for likes, and comments the show has got them.

This episode has me triggered on all levels!!!!! Ahhhh🤨🤨🤨🤨 these men refuse to take responsibility of the their roles in how men and women turn out in adulthood. They are busy stereotyping women that were raised by single moms. What about men that were raised by single moms. Both of them are saying they didn’t get attention and affection from their fathers. That is not okay. They need therapy. There’s a lot from their childhood that needs to be addressed. “A man love towards his son is actually to detach.” Now that’s toxic. Boys growing up without love from their fathers has created men like these. No no. Unacceptable. Women were not created to follow. Society has made it that way. That doesn’t make it okay. You men need to know better and do better. And why is the lady is yellow quiet? Honestly it’s giving “Pick me. I am not like other girls.” 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

Totally agree with this comment. Let’s also be careful how we mix culture and religion. If using the Bible as a standard we should not pick and choose. Jesus is King of Kings and yet he washed his disciples’ feet. Where are the servant leaders here?
@haryetta

Hmmmmm… religion has its own culture that has nothing to do with other cultures. The culture in this discussion is very very different from the culture that was before so I don’t really understand what they are talking about as far as culture is concerned
This conversation is just giving a platform to archaic thinking. This is 2024, feminism aside we are in a world that requires men and women to both step up to keep the home running. As for single moms, I’m not sure why women are always blamed yet they stayed and stepped up. The reason for a man leaving a union is non of our concern, your decision to have children is above and greater than all else. Men should take responsibility and step up to father their children whether or not their mom was toxic. Stop outsourcing fatherhood to communities when the biological father is alive and well. We are tired of men casting blame on women and their personal relationships with the moms and then later blaming kids for turning out how they did coz their moms were single moms. Having children isn’t a game. Put your feelings aside and parent your kids whether with their mom or not!
I live in the comment section. Mwami Kuteesa asimbudde. I really love these guys they always have a lot to share. Mwami Kyamagero will represent us who love soft love 😅.

Hello ladies, thanks for the good work. Am a big fan. Well, here's my view: I recommend Miss. Bev for representing us (women) so well. I picked out a few important points from both sides, however, I kinda felt disappointed by some submissions from men- they were ego-centric. Even not letting Bev speak her mind was toxic enough. Leave alone how Mr. Kuteesa kept on addressing her as "mwe abolozungu"..... what was that supposed to mean?! The men refusing to take responsibility broke my soul. Miss. Barbra choosing not to say anything! In a nutshell, this topic wasn't done justice enough.....

Thank you Mrs. Mulondo for rescuing us from broken families and single mothers, Indeed just because we did not see our fathers growing up does not mean that we aspire to have broken home. In fact we have been empowered to want more and better.
while i appreciate the submission by Mr. Kuteesa on men stepping up, am not pro negating the soft skills required by the man and he seems to recommend that that part is killed. This in itself is what breeds masculine toxicity.
I have enjoyed this episode. It has given me all the fills from eagerness, ecstasy, anxiety to mention but a few. Also evocative of self reflection. I have also confirm that men would rather climb a mountain than accept to take accountability for their part in failing a home. But ladies thank you for the show.
But parents s that take their sons to Mr. Kuteesa for mentorship should discontinue because our daughters ain't ready for them

These men are talking and refering everything to their culture not knowing that some elements of cultures are also toxic
I will come back to watch.❤❤❤ finish with the work then 🤓🤓
I personally feel that there is nothing wrong with a wife washing the husband's feet if there is mutual agreement it is something the wife enjoys to do. It becomes toxic if the wife is taken for granted and the man feels entitled regardless of the wife's feelings and imposes that on her. That is toxic masculinity. Everything done to satisfy one's ego and yet without mutual understanding and agreement is not done in love and it leaves the other person un happy and overtime it kills something in that person. Love is not selfish and not proud

This is an insightful conversation into how men think....katufumbire abasajja baffe....the tone and choice of words is my take home today.
Its funny how a man has to give an example of japan geishas who were gal children that wea sexually exploited from childhood to please men en he goes ahead to reffer to those speaking out on the toxic masculinity en entitlement as fools, this breaks my hrt, him saying there are no such topics in Asian countries have u had of the 4B movement, i think it originates from Korea wc i believe is located in Asia, correct me if am wrong, then the first speaker, you are not a commander you being the head or leader of the family doesn't make u a commander, a leader is a servant, u being a man doesn't make u rude, rudeness is different from masculinity, his marriages happened in way back wen women were still taken in as properties, now its about love, y command wen u can ask
Bravery,I love you... May you grow more in wisdom and understanding
