CNN just reported at 1:20pm that Bob Bakish is just fired. Replacing him is a team of 3 leaders.

Coming here to find out the details on what is happening. I was just working and saw an email about the changes going on and Bob resigning out of nowhere. Turns out there was shit going on I had no idea about.

I just read that Paramount+ will have a project named 'The Department,' starring Michael Fassbender, with Joe Wright directing and George Clooney producing. I wonder if it could flop because of problems at Paramount.

All infighting is internal

The first four Scream movies have been hanging out over on Max, while the 5th movie is hanging out on Hulu. The only sequel that hasn't been licensed out from Paromount Plus is Scream 6, the one I could care or less about. I'm excited for Scream 7.

I'm just sad about the whole thing. It is hard to see anyone saying that the management at Paramount hasn't been awful.

I hope Skydance wins the bid to buy Paramount Global and does especially include "Star Trek" in the latter company's acquisition. With Hasbro set to outsource "Power Rangers" toy licensing rights, I can imagine Skydance and Paramount outsourcing American over-the-air broadcasting and streaming rights for future "Star Trek" shows to NBCUniversal, allowing those show to air and stream across NBC, Telemundo and Peacock in the States. I also hope Skydance and Paramount would replace Bad Hideout--JJ Abrams & Bad Robot and Alex Kurtzman & Secret Hideout--as "Star Trek" partners with anyone--whether Terry Matalas or Robert Meyer Burnett--who understands "Star Trek."

When Sherry redstone's father died he told her if she ever sells the company sell it as a whole.... skydance does not want to dismantle the company like Apollo Management does Sony wants to buy Paramount's whole Content Library...... Comcast wants to buy a couple of their Networks...... people are missing the bigger picture the other companies have been fighting to dismantle Paramount global..... Comcast Warner and Disney have been wanted Paramount Global out of the fighting arena.... and people are missing the bigger picture skydance has three private investors and his father the owner of Oracle fifth richest man in the world wants to be a private investor.... Paramount Global Paramount Plus we'll get much needed upgrades from Oracle that means Paramount plus could run better than Netflix.... I think within 2 years Paramount Global could be a Powerhouse again

I mean we’ve been talking about this for years paramount has never been stable as a company to begin with so I’m the one hand I’m not at all surprised. But on the other hand, they have movies like top gun and mission impossible that made 1,000,000,000+ dollars you would think that that would’ve fixed a few things. But apparently not. As of right now, the biggest streaming property they have is Yellowstone and I feel like that has made them the most money out of any show they have done on the streaming service. But I was never really sold on Yellowstone. I just could not get into it no matter how hard I tried. Also halo season two. I watched one episode and was so disappointed. I didn’t want to continue. I feel like they’re kind of alienating their audience a little bit on the television front.

CBS alone, is a disaster as they keep cancelling shows that actually do well and fans love.

I would want universal to buy them. So that way the cpild get the writes to scream.

i hope skydance buys/merges with paramount because if sony buys paramount that would mean sony would also own nickelodeon and all their IPs, including garfield, danny phantom and ninja turtles and sony would make sure any video games that use any nickelodeon or paramount IPs would be playstation exclusive and nobody wants that, not to mention that sony would have a more difficult time buying paramount than skydance would
