What makes Papers Please one of the most unique games to me is that it gives us so little, yet so much at the same time when learning about the world. It's up to the player to see the world, and gather information from the news articles, what they see when working, and the character interactions. Along with the art style, it accomplishes an immersive dystopian world without us even exploring it.

I feel like there needs to be a name for this genre of game where you play a mid level government (or government like) person with simultaneously a lot of power and no power at all, where you have to be both good at your job and deal with moral quandaries. You know what I love about videos like this, Bumbles? I love that you develop a character through the length of it and you keep it consistent while also throwing in a few twists and developments. I've seen this game played, it's not really my thing, but I think it's fascinating and watching your video really feels like I'm playing it myself; I go in with a very specific image in mind of how I'm trying to play and I stick to that while figuring out how to deal with the situations the game puts me in. It's really engaging and fun. Oh yeah, and you're funny as hell, too. That's also a big value add.

I don’t think there’s a single youtube channel out there that matches the comedy and commentary style of bumbles, he could talk about paperclips for an hour and I’d be invested the whole way through.

I think Brendaniel has a fairly similar style.

My favorite part is when bumbles mcfumbles said "Papers, Please" and weeded out all of the false information.

I like when he said "it's papering time" and papered all over the place
33:12 "MY president can beat up YOUR president" is the greatest sentence I have ever heard.
I can't wait to see Strong Terry give people the business in the next Bumbles McRumbles, assuming he had to leave Arstotzka, and his job, because of a contract signed with the BMR authorities and a passport to America
have now confirmed that jack is a honk mimimi sort of sleeper, this is a great day for the lore keepers!
10:08 “WOULD YOU PLEASE DRIBBLE THIS FOOTBALL?” genuine terror
32:10 Ok that moment was actually really emotional heh what a good moment
32:17 Didn't think such a simple set of pixels could warm my cold dead heart like it did, Holy crap I was *not* ready for that

"GLORY TO ARSTOZKA, GLOYRY GREATEST!!!" -Jacksepticeye, some time in the 2000's
Funny thing is, I knew about this game for years, but didn’t try it out until this year’s spring break with the iOS version. And to see Jack discuss the game I’m close to completing is hilarious timing
Man I don't know what it is, but your videos are absolutely calming, If I put them on in the background, it increases my workplace efficiency by at least 500% percent
"Were kinda in the age of inde developer golden age" Me: PIZZA TOWER
I feel like there needs to be a name for this genre of game where you play a mid level government (or government like) person with simultaneously a lot of power and no power at all, where you have to be both good at your job and deal with moral quandaries. Other examples would be We the Revolution, We the People, This is the Police, and Death and Taxes (to an extent).

“Son, son. Cant you be into normal things like cocaine and Fortnite?” fucking had me lmao
The part with the guard’s girlfriend in this video legitimately made me cry. Not sure what it is about it the buildup of stress and uncertainty of whether you’re doing the right thing and finally getting to see a positive change in the world is what I think it is.
I always say how amazing the commentary is. The live bomb part was making me laugh way more than it should have.
Honestly, after "Lawyer who solves cases" and "farmer who harvests crops" the premise of being an immigrations officer checking papers doesn't seem like such a ridiculous concept
I'm so proud of Georgie for finally getting into the country
Bumbles is already on the list of very few channels I watch every single video from, but the only one where I have no idea what I’ll watch next
The gumbal joke being back was good
What I love most about this game is it's constantly testing your morales meaning on a blind playthrough everyone will have make different decisions or have different rationale for those decisions.
this is such a fun style for a playthrough its like a half-roleplay i love it
With such a good choice of game, its gonna be a great video already
We stan Jorji in these parts
It'd be interesting to get a sequel vid exploring the other stuff with Jorgi and his fake passport thing, and the EXIC stuff
"OMG THIS GAMES POLITICAL!" ... fuck hes right. i dunno how i didnt notice.
I’ve been binging your videos, and I just want to say, as a voice actor, you would make an amazing one, you’re hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
I like that you brought up the republia times, I found it really interesting when I found out about it, especially because republia shows up in papers please
Can’t say I saw this video coming, but it’s a hell of a welcome surprise! Thanks for another great video big guy!
This video helped me MORE than any other to understand the stress it creates. Once I started this video, I was glued to it.
when bumbles uploads it’s a good day
It’s a great day when Bumbles uploads. ❤
Seeing a couple of pixels hug another couple of pixels brought warmth to my heart and I don’t know why
I love the subtle friendship arc with Jorgi.
You are the reason why I'm happy to be watching vids again. "Could you stand still for a minute. Strong Terry would like a word with you!" Genius!!!
was not expecting this, will be expecting this from now on
I love Papers Please & what unique things it brings to the table. Shuffling through documents has never been so fun & addicting
I've been waiting for him to talk about this one. It's a match made in heaven.
Papers Please was the last game I expected to see on this channel, but I'll happily watch this video
23:34 “Oh, right. These aren’t my bite marks.” Kitties, am I right?
So, one part of my job is to veto papers and spot discrepancies before they are processed for archiving. That job came after I started playing this game. Never thought I would thank a game for helping my future.
It's political, but it's also not an aggressive smear piece over/in favor of any one government, country, group of people, or minority. It's best described as a broad commentary on the difficulty of operating a strict border.
A good, hearty laugh. I really needed that. This video gave me several. Thanks. :>
Man I really hope you reach 100k soon these videos are too good
your channel is sooo under rated you need so many more subs your vids are great and the number of the episode on the thumbnail makes me wanna watch all of them :]
My policy for this game was simple. If your photo doesnt match while everything else is correct, you're getting arrested for using a stolen identity.
My goodness, I learned quite a few things about this game today. Great vid as always. All, hiya, Balan!
One of the top five KZreadrs has uploaded. I really should say something about another KZreadr uploading, but you are a contender for best creator on this platform.
Wow nice new logo! I'm going to cry about the old one for approximately 2 hours before not caring anymore!
10/10 storytelling from you! ^w^
Now I have a video to watch with the gf, thank you funny internet man!
Yo, it's the game that made me realize I have decision anxiety, cool
24:00 Bumbles is always a blast when it comes to commentary but this moment was the most I've ever laughed at any of his videos. And the bar was already so high...
Good choice for a video. This game is so bizarre but fascinating.
Bumbles back after big breathtaking highlight and being brilliant like before, bedridden being behind me
Fun fact: The Republia Times is referenced in Papers, Please. Republia is a location in the game’s world. Pretty good Easter egg.
You know, I actually didn't understand the hype behind paper's please... but after watching this. Wow, was I invested.
i love the ring fit adventure music! 3rd time watching btw
Oh hey! He's got a new banner & icon!Good for him!
The explosion at 12:09 scared me half to death XD, i was looking down for a moment to write something and i nearly fell out of my chair. In other words 10/10 video!
I know this would be a big fucking ask, but the way you describe the story of this game playing out is so fucking good, I'd kill for a readout of some of the other story routes. : )
Those citations raise my blood pressure.
Rocketbirds was great, that soundtrack went extremely hard, glad to see it mentioned for 30 seconds.
I played this game, and I just love how nearly everyone goes for straight up nationalism the moment they start.
15:30 "Strong Terry, give him the business!" I will be quoting this line randomly for the next few days. 😂
Never expected Rocketbirds to be here. One of the good games with a really good soundtrack!!! I would recomend to everyone
Strong Terry is my new favourite character in the Bumbles Cinematic Universe.
I hope bumbles does a video about a civilization game just to use D/D/D as the card collage.
I love that for some people this game is like a weird arcade simulation game seeing how fast you can spot errors and get as much money as possible, while most others are incredibly stressed if they are even using the date system correctly lmao.
Love the new logo.
22:33 I have never laughed at anything more in this video.
It’s amazing that they made a game which based on The Berlin Wall, where you help people cross the border. Never would’ve thought they make a sad event so much fun.
Hearing you name-drop Mibibli's Quest makes me wanna see a review of it from you now Mr Mcfumbles Also learning Rocketbirds (another of my fave indies) was partially responsible for PP is something else
While playing this game i felt like all i done my whole live is wotking here, and at home, i just go sleep and work again, whole life, Glory to Arstotzka/10
Glory to bumbles mcfumbles.
I just love the guard’s reaction to the bomb, “what is this amateur garbage? Its not even worth evacuating just open it and disarm it! I’ll try and salvage it for parts to sell, but I doubt its even worth much of anything”
So I was watching Markiplier’s playthrough before this, and now I have the silly thought that the two playthroughs are connected and Bumbles is the inspector who filled in for Mark after he was arrested.
I honestly did not know this game had a story that progressed with each passing day, as well as plot lines to get involved in or skip over. 😯
I got to give a ton of create to this guy being able to play "Papers, Please" without losing a single family member. I've seen several videos of people reviewing "Papers, Please" but end up getting frustrated with how difficult it is and ended up finding themselves losing one family member, or all of them.
You know what a man named strong Terry comes along you know that you're screwed 11:46
GLORY TO ARSTOTZKA
Something something Glory to Arstotzka!
Well, I certainly wasn't expecting a name-drop of Mibibli's Quest in 2023.
He finally felt the joy of letting Jorji in..
Bumbles describing the concept of aging and then throwing someone in jail for it:
those first two bombing sounds actually scared the shit out of me
Honestly did not expect that Ursarctic transition
For the first 10 years of my adult life I worked at a gas station chain. It was like a combination of this game and FnaF. No I will not accept that being a stupid way to describe a job.
