Paper Inkspirations - 13 Creative Ways to Fill Up Empty Notebooks

Hi friends! I'm Agnes de Bezenac and here is my happy place to share some of the things that fill my life with joy. In this video I'm speaking specifically to those of you who may have some beautiful notebooks sitting on the shelf and you don't know what to do with them. If that's the case, this video may spark a little inspiration and some ideas of meaningful and artsy ways to fill up your books, for you and your wellbeing, and even as a way to benefit those around you. This is what I call a bucketfull of self-care, haha!

    What lovely ideas you have! I’m watching this at 6:30 in the morning, and immediately after typing this, I’m going to start a book of love notes to my husband of 46 years. His first note will be waiting for him when he gets up. Thank you for that wonderful idea!!

    So glad you like the ideas. Whenever I have something in there for my kids, I leave the book out on my desk, otherwise it's tucked away on the shelf... cause then they know there's a new little "love entry". When they leave me a note, they leave the book wide open for me to see, haha.

    Very inspiring! I can see you have much going on in your head by way of organizing "head clutter" which might otherwise get in the way of accomplishing what you need to. Clearing up mental space by processing and then moving forward. Did not see a prayer journal. These books would be time-consuming, but so is social media...I think this might be a way of replacing hours spent on social media and inspire reading on solutions that have worked for other people. Thank you for the creativity around these journals!

The one with silver pages is not actually a notebook, but was an empty "sample" version of a book, that I got years ago from a bookfair, haha. So unfortunetaly it won't be found anywhere, so sorry. I'm wondering where to find journals with silver or gold on the edges, it does give it a real nice touch.

    I do the braindump book, but I do it in a cheap $1 notebook. Once it is filled, I destroy it. I do not plan to ever read it, and I do not want others to read it either. My oldest has one, too. My kids are adults now, but as kids, I had the notebook system with them. They always had access to it and could write anything and not get in trouble for it. I found it kept the communication open even through their teen years.

  • @agnesdebezenac

    @agnesdebezenac

    Yes, yes, that's a great idea, not using a beautiful book for the brain dump. I totally agree. And I love that about your kids having one too. What a great thing to get your kids into early on, and for keeping the communications going, especially during that teen stage. So so great! My kids are not huge communicators or talkers, neither writers for that matter, but I hope that one day they will see the joy and the benefit from it too. :)

    Hi there, I was wondering, when do you give yourself the self-care coupons?

  • @agnesdebezenac

    @agnesdebezenac

    Жыл бұрын

    That's a good question. I usually try to treat myself to at least two to three coupons weekly. Sometimes it happens more on the weekend when there is a little less pressure on the accomplishment front, other times it's during the week when I have my little quiet times or coffee break. What I have learned about these is to just be flexible and not try to push them on myself or else I lose the benefit of well-being from them, haha. I just going with the flow and allow myself to be inspired to do a little something for myself. That's when I check out those love coupons and choose one. And I realise that it's also building a habit and it gets easier to do those little treats for yourself as time goes on. For me a change of mindset and a change your priorities is what worked like magic to finding more time, haha. Time didn't just suddenly stop or slow down for me but it was me who stopped and made the time. I hope this helps to answer your question somewhat. :)

  • @theartofwellbeing

    @theartofwellbeing

    10 ай бұрын

    Thanks @julieslevine100 for that question, that's a good one, haha. Actually since I've only started journaling in the past 2-3 years and I don't have mountains of journals, for now at least, YES I do keep even my brain dump journals. I have gone back to them on a very few random occasions, just out of curiousity I guess, and it' was an interesting refresher of where I came from and how I've grown. Even though there is a lot of dreary stuff in there, I still find some random glimmers of inspiration hidden inbetween, that have even helped pull me out of difficult times, or a teensy winsy sparkle of an idea that I could try again... An "If I got over it then, I can do it again" motivating moment too... So, so far, I'm keeping them, especially because I know that no one else in my household is even interested or curious to peek at them, haha. Otherwise I do realize that there could be private stuff in there that you don't want anyone else to see. I figure that if my husband finds one, well then he'll know how I really feel. If one of my kids (now teens) find one, they'll maybe get an idea/example of how they could express a bit more of their feelings... haha. I don't know if this is at all helpful. Let me know if so. Thanks for writing. Always love getting other's comments and questions.
