    Me during some of your segments: yes, yes, yes!. I started journaling recently and unwittingly have incorporated many of. your prompts (prayer, gratitude, truth, reflection etc.,) in a very unstructured way. Your video has been so helpful in providing ideas for a more structured layout so I'm not feeling like I'm recreating the wheel every day. Thank you for your generosity in sharing the prompts page. . I echo the sentiments of others regarding interest in buying some of your other layouts!

    Be brave to suck at things that you're learning new... That's so true. This was why I couldn't learn something new. Thank you for the detailed explanation.

    I think it's natural for all of us to have a difficult time admitting that we 'suck' at something. It hurts our self-esteem and pride. But as soon as we face the truth and believe we won't 'suck' in the near future, we can move forward. Sucking is a natural process in the beginning and it does NOT have to be permanent.

    This was spot on, I love to journal and use my supplies but felt overwhelmed many times to create the perfect layout and fell off the wagon many times. Thank you for your insights and sharing your knowledge. I loved that you customized it completely even from the notebook to the prompts and layout. I liked the way you spoke about the goal of journaling ❤.

    Been consistently writing since the beginning of this year, found some inspiration how I do my journal and some I created my way. And I resonate with how you do ur Journal, like the structure and the ready to print layOut. And I wanna do it as well to incorporate it in my Journal diary. As for my set up right now, I've created a notevook of my weekly plan: My habit tracker and my to do lists including my financial track. I'm doing quite pretty good but as I continue along my way of journalling, I want to learn more about it. Just how I learned today from your video. Thank you! gonna download the templates for sure. ❤ So much love from the Philippines. ❣️

    another approach for the daily reflexion is "the hand" >> every digit stands for a certain part thumb >> the good things / index >> learned / middle >> the bad things / ring >> emotion / pinkie >> short commings the "prayer part" gets for me visible in every part ... I don't have a prayer of the day ... but it's an intriguing thought

    I tried bullet journaling but it was hard to stick to and required more effort to set up and follow through than I was willing to invest when I didn’t feel like dealing with that… so now I have one small notebook that works as a calendar (with easy layout) and I don’t try to keep it perfect as I know that would just hinder me from using it.. and I write there notes, to-do lists and everything I want. It’s messy but it works. I have another notebook for more spiritual thoughts and prayers which I forget to use :( I don’t include any trackers as I was always forgetting to fill them in.. I still try to make my spiritual journaling more consistent and think how I can improve it

I bullet journal since january 2018 and my style evolved a lot since then, also in an aesthetic way. What I write down each day are things that I am proud of having done (or not done) and how I felt about how much effort I had to put in for my mental wellbeing that day and if the efforts succeeded (scale -3 to 3).

Regular printer paper has to low a gsm, but the higher ones at our printer shop seem almost (shiny/slippery making the pages seem to stick together and doesnt feel great to write on

    Oh I am glad you found resonating messages in the video 🥰 I know exactly what type of shiny, slippery paper you are referring to and you are right how it doesn't have nice tooth and texture to write on 🙁Since I am not using fountain pen for my journaling pages, the 28 pound off white paper seems to be working really well for me! The printer papers are usually 20 pound so 28 pound was a nice medium! I hope this help for you to find the right paper and journaling system that's best for you 💖

    You were art journaling and calling it a bullet journal. Bullet journaling is quite sparse and doesn’t involve all the pretty layouts people use.

  • @FlourishedHope

    @FlourishedHope

    18 күн бұрын

    You're right! I started with a bullet journal, learning from Ryder's video, and it gradually became more like an art journal due to its flexible nature. But even with the original bullet journal, I felt I was spending too much time moving things from previous days and designing layouts every time, which I mentioned in the video. So the system I use now evolved from bullet journaling, allowing me to take advantage of the bullet journal's benefits while saving a little more time so I can focus on the content I write ☺️ Thank you for sharing your thought!

    You're so right. It never took me more than 2 minutes to prepare for my day. And, even with the "original idea" I never use tables or layouts. Just a simple simple calendar and my to-do s /notes/memories for every day. However I love your evolve system for that start point, even if it looks too complicated for my.

  • @FlourishedHope

    @@JPinto-sx8yx Thank you for sharing your experience and preference ☺ I noticed how social media has transformed the bullet journal method into something entirely different. It's interesting to see how the founder, Ryder, seems to have mixed feelings about how his simple method has evolved. As a visual person, I also tend to lean towards the artsy side of bullet journaling, even though I try to keep it as simple as possible. I’m greatly inspired by bullet journaling, but I've adapted it by eliminating what didn’t work for me and evolving what did.

    @@sandycoaches Your JOURNAL can be as decorative as you like. But if you prepare in advance pretty spreads and spend time decorating it, or set up daily spreads in fixed size etc., then it is simply NOT A BULLET JOURNAL, despite people tagging it that. Rapid logging is the opposite of pretty decorating. None is wrong or better, it's just a different thing with different purpose, that's all.
