Such a good message. I realized I said “sorry” as everything from a way to interject their thoughts into a conversation, to a way of prefacing any request for help. When something bad happens to someone, I’m merely listening to their story, and I had nothing to do with it, I’ll say “ that’s unfortunate”.

This is straight-forwardness, not passive aggressiveness. It sounds like you're projecting your own experiences on this... I agree that saying sorry is a polite thing to do but it's more about the whole mindset that women often have that they put themselves inferior to others because it's a woman's task to be extra kind and taking care of things.. It's just about owning your right to speak up more - if you say sorry or not that's not that important to the message. As long as you are kind and straightforward. For any gender. :-)

Any decent human being no matter what gender they identify with should be apologizing for those things... This video is NOT empowering at all.. what about people who get upset that a person who appears to be male didn't hold the door open for them? or pull out a chair .. or pay for their dates meal.. or they cried in a movie or they used make up to cover a blemish or they wore a pink shirt ... yes there are things we have to apologize for as women.. perhaps you should have used ones like saying SORRY I LEFT MY BRAND NEW UNOPENED BOX OF TAMPONS OUT IN MY OWN HOME ..ones that we legitimately have to apologize for that isn't just a basic human decency apology.

You need to watch it again. The couple at the car, the woman was talking first, she did not interrupt him. And nobody barged into any room. Most of the times women say, "Sorry!" A simple, "pardon me," or "excuse me," would suffice. & if it's not your fault, accept the "apology" or the "excuse me" with grace and a simple nod of the head, rather than an apology of your own. How about the guy who shows up LATE for the meeting and asks the women to move down for him? They all say sorry, sorry-sorry, sorry. Sorry for WHAT? For simply being there? Sorry for already existing in a space that a man wants to occupy? What IS that about?

Woman often come up with lines such as "Sorry" "or I don't mean to bother you, but here's my idea", or "I am not sure if this right". These lines while they may be out of politeness, I believe they actually originate due to a lack of confidence. Not because woman are not confident in themselves, but they are afraid of being looked down upon or not listened too. Which all is totally reasonable, and does happen. But, it does not mean woman should high and always have to take a back seat.

Nothing like insulting men to help clear the air between the genders...That doesn't speak for emotional maturity.

@@harleyquiinnnn First off, I equate being called "love" to cat-calling and we lowly males know how feminists feel about cat-calling, so please cease and desist. Okay, with that said, you "simply said" that men lack "emotional maturity" because they, GASP!, had the audacity to question the negative stereotyping in this woke ad...damn, man-hater, if you do not view that as an insult to men, then your feminist indoctrination runs too deep. Alas, it will take decades to deprogram you at this point. Yikes!

@@harleyquiinnnn Ah, the feminist man-hater modus operandi - the insult coupled with an inane "lmao"...you see, the moment has arrived when a lowly male calls you out and exposes you as a feminist fraud and you fall back in a tepid defense of trying to demean me and laugh me off. You suffer from a lack of emotional maturity. Nothing more, nothing less.
