Kate McKinnon is a comedic legend as far as I am concerned.....her range is just incredible. The way she kept that castilian accent going when having to pronounce all those heavy chemical words was just priceless....could watch her all day. SNL is so much poorer for not having her there any more...I miss her talent so much!!!

I had to come watch Kate McKinnon's first SNL Sketch to see where it all started, as I learned she's leaving SNL after this current season. she's one of the best SNL cast members of all time and can't wait to see her hosting SNL or coming back as a guest in the future and I am also excited about other projects she will be a part of. Kate does something not many actors can do: SHE NAILED THE ACCENT!!! In this sketch she’s speaking with a Castilian accent (just like Penélope, but somewhat different from Sofía’s). Not many actors can understand these language subtleties. ¡Bravo, Kate: eres magnífica! 🙌 👍🤩

Castellano is the language that originated in Spain and spread to most Latin America continent because of the firts spanish people from CASTILLA. This language does not sound like the typical spanish from Madrid. Lucky for us the people in Latinamerica our languge has also words from our native people, french, italian and english wich it makes the languages rich and beautiful.

Penelope Cruz impersonation was Kate Mckinnon's audition piece for SNL, so this is literally a walk in the park for her. She's so great.

Penelope's accent was so on point, I think this is the first time I hear an American imitating our accent and actually sounding Spanish and not Mexican Edit: So for some reason KZread decided to tell me about this comment when it already had 160 responses. -To complaining Spaniards: Yes, I'm pretty aware that our wonderful nation has many different accents but I think that everyone trying to speak English correctly would soften his regional accent and would end up sounding like the girl portraying Penélope. -To complaining latinos/Mexicans: Yes, I meant Mexicans because it seems like a lot of Americans tend to imitate the every Spanish accent using words like órale, wey, pendejo... which is understandable since Mexicans are the biggest Spanish speaking comunity in the US but is incorrect if you're imitating someone from Spain, Argentina, Colombia... -To complaining Americans: *See point two above* I'm not saying "haha americans dumb". -To idiots saying that Penélope *is* Spanish: I'm obviously refering to the actress in the video, not the real Penélope Cruz.

@@woolfromtheking when gringo tried to imitate an accent for Spanish, they always go for the mexican. I never heard one that sounds like a colombian or argentinean. People from Mexico is what they are used to hear. Enclosing all the cultures from central and South America in the word Latino, now that's ignorant

Dani Dakota she is not real in the Pantene clip.. I must have seen it 200 times.. When a friend showed it to me I burst to laughter so hard my head began to hurt.. She can kill a person by the laughter she provokes

I think that's a top Kate McKinnon skit for me. Great Penelope, and she didn't break character. And Sofia was fantastic as well - surprisingly very hard for most celebrities to "play themselves."
